Only Connecticut’s Donald Brown rushed for more yards in the nation this year than BSU RB MiQuale Lewis. He totaled 1,701 rushing yards and averaged 156.1 yards from scrimmage per game. Lewis has rushed for at least 100 yards in six straight games and that will likely continue against a Tulsa defense that’s allowed opponents to rush for 392.3 YPG.

Though Tulsa went 7-5 ATS this season, it has been awful against teams with winning records. The Golden Hurricane is 3-8 ATS in its games against squads above .500.

Ball State has been fantastic against everyone. The Cards are 20-8 ATS in their last 28 games, which includes their moneymaking 9-3 ATS mark in ’08.

Good info, I'm still on the fence on this one. You make some good points. The other side of the argument seems to be that Ball State accumulated those numbers in a terrible conference. I've seen Miquale Lewis play, and he is a talent, but his numbers were accumalated apparently against very bad talent. The team that won the MAC and beat Ball State, Buffalo, got raped against the aforementioned Donald Brown. Dude ran for 260 yards on 29 carries, and the team combined for 360 total rushing yards. So how impressive are Lewis' numbers when they are accumlated against terrible defenses?

That said, Tulsa is obviously not a defensive juggernaut. However, they did accumulate their stats, which are impressive, against a much better level of competition. Conference USA is 3-2 in bowl games, where the MAC is 0-4.

Should be a fun game to watch........which is what I may just do rather than go on it. Best of luck.

BOL on your play. Not trying to bust on you but the information you provided is wrong. If you are going to give out information that may influence a capper be sure the information is accurate.Tulsa's defense has not allowed opponents to rush for 392 yards per game. In fact they give up less rushing yards per game than does Ball State 133 compared to Ball State's 141. The fact is neither defense is very good. Ball State gives up 350 total yards per game while Tulsa gives up 392. The question is who has the better offense, Ball State who averages 459 yards and 36 points per game or Tulsa who averages 565 yards per game and 47 points.

In bad weather, you also have to decide whether you feel more comfortable with a team that turned the ball over 30 times and had a MINUS EIGHT turnover margin, or a team that turned the ball over 15 times and had a PLUS EIGHT turnover margin. I'll take the team that was FAR less prone to the turnover. I'll take Ball State.
