  • Question for University of Texas Supporters?

I keep hearing that Texas will be motivated to blow Ohio State out in hopes of garnering support for a split national championship should Oklahoma squeeze out an ugly win over Florida. Do the Texas supporters know if this is true or are the players pissed off that they got hosed out of the national championship and have little interest in beating OSU?

I would think that Texas is extremely motivated in winning this game, because they feel as if they should be in the Orange bowl game. And if OU does win then they will be even more pissed.

I think Ohio St will be just as motivated as Texas, if not more. They have been hearing how bad the Big 10 is for how long now?

I think Texas trying to blow out OSU might play into OSU's hands. McCoy may force a few balls. I really think OSU can run the ball on Texas if they stick with it.

If Texas can stop the run I don't think Ohio can score very much!Does Ohio St. have any good receivers? I watched them play USC they looked horrible on Offense! Speed is what you cant coach does Ohio St have enough? Thats what hurt Ohio St. in previous years I just dont know if they enough Texas is going to try to stop the run if they do I dont think pryor can beat them passing! Just my thoughts I think both teams will be motivated!

The OSU receivers are not bad and this is a VERY Different team imo with Pryor at QB. This guy is Vince Young all over again. He is a freshman but he is very dangerous with his arm and legs. If he can get the defense out of place scrambling, it will open up alot of other things.

Texas has not really stopped anybody all year, Ohio states running game coupled with Pryors ability spells trouble for Texas defense. The 5 good teams they played scored 35,31,24,39, and 7(kansas, which isn't that good.) okla, missouri, okie state, and texas tech. All the other teams they played sucked. Which ever side you're on good luck, it will be fun to watch!!

This is a BCS bowl on national TV. Both teams will be motivated to play in front of the nation.

Coaches are playing for fat cash bonuses and bigger legacies than they already have.

Players are playing for draft positioning, next years playing time, and bragging rights to friends, family, and opponents.

Mack Brown and Jim Tressel wont have teams that aren't "Motivated". Someone will win b/c they are better tonight, not b/c they care more or less than the other team.
