Splitting out two biggies on Saturday dropping my 8+ Unit games to 3-1, still a respectable 75% which I will take any day of the week. Mississippi was an easy winner and Bama an easy loser. Their defense just didnt show up and going down 21-0 has to take something out of you. And I truly apologize to anyone that may have followed. We should be able to get those units back with this next game.
262 UCONN -6 10 Units
Going to wind down bowl season with at least one more big 10 unit play after this game and will be playing something in each of the remaining games. At first glance Buffalo's 7-0 ATS mark as an underdog scares me but looking at it in depth, they were underdogs to such stellar squads as Ohio U, Bowling Green and Akron. Nice teams but doesnt excite me that they succeeded in those spots. Beating Ball State is another story but Ball State spent the week leading up to that game reading their press clippings, but I am not trying to take anything away from the Bulls, winning a conference championship should be congratulated. Now on to this game. The MAC sucks. 0-3 in the bowls so far with one favorite losing outright, one favorite becoming a dog and losing outright and one dog that was always a dog getting rocked. This is the type of league it is and gives some credence to why going into this bowl season they are 0-10 SU as underdogs in bowls and 2-8 ATS the last 10. Now 0-11 SU and 2-9 ATS. And not only is Buffalo up against a team out of a better conference than the MAC, they are playing a team from a BCS conference. Buffalo's 89th ranked rush defense gets to try and stop the NCAA's leading rusher in Donald Brown. And how about this for a stat that should scare the Bulls, UCONN averages 4.8 ypc. Buffalo gives up 4.6. The line of scrimmage should be controlled by UCONN along with the clock and they should open up a nice lead in the second half and cruise home for a wallet filling win.
Good luck everyone.
Back with a big college baskets play, NFL and the rest later or Saturday.
