I split Wednesday, winning with the Thunder (who are covering every night right now) and losing with the Clips who managed to lose to the woeful Sixers. This is my biggest NBA ticket of the year on the night of a very busy schedule.
2* Bucks -6 1/2
I really wonder how long it will take people to figure out the Bucks are a playoff team. The lines being put up on them are getting silly. They just went to Texas and beat the Spurs and took the Rockets to the wire. They are now 22-10 ATS including seven of the last nine. They get a day of rest and a home game against a poor team, Charlotte, that is playing the first of a home and home against the Bucks after losing two straight home games (major technical play). Bucks by a lot.
1* Heat +8 1/2
Here's another one people haven't caught on to: the Heat are playing very well. They have won five of six, including wins over the Cavs and Lakers and the only loss was at Cleveland where the Cavs never lose. No knocks on the Magic; this is merely too many points to give a hot team.
1* Thunder +8
Yeah, I play the Thunder all the team and I keep writing the same thing. Well, it's working. They never EVER get blown out. OKC is now 19-13 ATS, astonishing for a 4-29 SU team. They've won eight of the last ten ATS. They're coming off a rare home win over Golden State with another home game and are playing decently. The Nuggets are finishing a four game road trip and have a big home game Sat night with New Orleans and may not be fully focused.
1* Mavs -7 1/2
The Sixers beat me Wednesday but that was with the Clippers. Dallas is playing very well, have two days rest off a home game and catch a Philly team in the midst of a deadly western conf road trip. Sixers will have to limit starter minutes as they play in San Antonio Saturday.
Opinion only:
