That's why I asked...if it's the same rule as in the NFL, I think you have to have the ball the whole time, even on the ground.

I'm on the computer didn't see the play, but the college rule has always been a foot down in bounds. You could catch the WR in mid air and carry him for 10 yards out of bounds and no catch. NFL used to be a judgment call by refs, but they changed it and now you have to come down with two feet in bounds for a catch. Removes the subjectivity.

Oh sorry, again not watching. Yes, same rule for both, you must maintain control even when hitting the ground in both college and pro.

I've watched that BC QB a couple games after he took over for their injured starter, and he is just plain awful. Maybe he finds it today, but looked like a tart throwing the ball.
