i luv your plays. minny has one of the best o lines in the game and should handle the eagles a litttle better than pitt and dallas handeled them. asante is extremely overrated imo. he benefited from the golden years in new england and eventually cost them a super bowl last year with his hot dogging on that almost int. irregardless the running game will dominate this one, i just hope minny doesnt turn into a charity and give the ball away to phi on a short field

[B]Playing The Wild Cards 2008





Sunday:

Post Season Game of The Year on Minnesota, taking 3 at home, to defeat Philadelphia in what should be an easy game.


I have some crazy good stuff on Wildcard Teams in Minnesota’s situation … 2 separate systems, one is 25-0 ATS winning by 18 ppg on average , and the other is 26-0 ATS by 10 ppg … and they are unrelated to one another so there is no overlapping … in other words they are separate and distinct from one another. ( there’s also a third one which is 17-6 ATS )


Please do not be all that impressed with Philly’s very funny annhialation of Dallas last week … you remember … the game in which their snot nosed half assed punk of a QB guaranteed a Cowboy victory … The Cowboys are a shit team with a shit coach and one of the weakest QB’s I’ve ever seen. And their owner seems to have lost his marbles. Anyone could have kicked the crap out of Dallas last week , even Detroit.

So don’t be misled by Philly’s last game … it means nothing ... this week should be altogether different.


Most of you who know me … well I’m not afraid to go out on a limb and 2 fist games with huge edges … this is one of them ... similar to doubling down when you have the edge in Blackjack ... or splitting Aces for that matter.


We got the advantage here so my recommendation is to Play ON The Vikings with confidence. This will be an ass kicking.

Hey Neil, dont take this as anything other than me asking a couple questions about your selection. I actually had a couple more but you answered a few of them already in your writeup. Strictly talking about the onfield matchup, are you at all worried about Jim Johnson's blitzing schemes against Tavaris Jackson and the Vikings. They are probably the best blitzing team in the NFL as far as their disguises and the various ways in which they bring pressure. And I read today that Minnesota ranks last in the NFL against the blitz. Now, admittedly, I have no idea what that stat consists of, how they rate a team against the blitz and even how it can be quantified at all. Maybe they just average the number of yards gained each time a team is blitzed. Thats just a guess though. Regardless though they are last in that category and to me it seems like Philly is the wrong team to be playing when you are ranked there against the blitz.

On the other hand, home dogs in playoffs are 9-2 last 11, or maybe home wildcard dogs, but I think I read home dogs, so thats a nice one.

And I agree with you about the Dallas game. If there was a stat that put a value on how overrated a team or player is, Tony Romo would lead the list, imo. He is a disaster in pressure spots and a bigger disaster in December. I remember a few weeks ago you called that Pitt game to the T saying he could give the game away. Think we had Dallas in that game, but you mentioned that if we lost that could be why.

Again, not questioning your pick. You do a heck of a lot better at the NFL than I do. I was just hoping you could let me know how you feel about this whole defensive situation.

Individual injuries to a team never scare me unless it's the QB or multiples to key players.

They are usually a non event.

What most cappers forget is that the replacement has mouths to feed and is hungrier than the first stringer. I love injuries because they usually fake out people.

I prefer Sproles in this game.

You think a helluva lot more than I do about games. I do my work, make the pick, then never think about it again. It would expose me to doubts and 2nd guessing myself and I can't afford to do that. I used to read all the papers , look at opinions , listen to the radio and watch TV ... you know what ? I'm much better off without all that nonsense. I never watch pre game shows either. Once my mind is made up , I isolate myself from everything concerning football.

Besides my mind needs to be clear for my golf game.

I post early because there is no need for me to wait around for anyone or anything else.

Don't you think Minny knows Philly will blitz ? They'll be ready for it and when they do, Peterson will burn their asses.


One last comment ... I never get involved with a team or a player ... they are all strangers and not worth my time. I fool around in " Shooting From the Hip " because most athletes are screw ups . However I do study the coaches ... there are a few I respect ... most I don't.

Every battle is won before it's even played ... we've all heard this before. It happens to be true. Minny has already won this game ... it's just a matter of executing according to the coach's game plan.

I'm not kidding ... I suspect most will be on Philly and I really expect an easy game for Minny. They'll win going away.
