GOLDENGREEK, care to give some insight on the HUGE Ducks' play?

I'm not questioning you at all, you are a WAY better capper than me. You are one of a handful of guys I really follow, which is why I'd love to know your insight on this game. Is it mainly a product of the multiple systems that Oregon matched on from the other system's thread you started? These teams just seem so equal across the board.


Both teams lost to the three best teams they played, and neither have beaten a top team.

Both teams have loads of offense, both stink on defense.

Okie State has the better passing game, the run games are pretty close.......maybe slight advantage to Oregon.

Both teams are top 10 in total offense, and in the 80s for total defense.

They have the exact same turnover margin.

they are both in the 20s for rush defense, both in the 100s for pass defense.

I just don't see much advantage for either side. The only advantage I do see is that State is more balanced. If they get down it would seem Robinson is more capable of bringing them back than Masoli if Oregon were to get down. The game wll be to entertaining not to bet, what to do?

This post just isn't to Greek either, I'd love to hear anyone's quick write up on this game.

Thanks man, I appreciate the feedback. Okie State does seem like a sucker play since everyone loves the Big 12, and the Pac 10 usually is considered second class citizens.

Well said. I think this will be a great game to watch. Greek gives great analysis here. So does Harold. The service thing scares me too. Something to be said though about the fact that a capper the calibur of GG thinks its the best bowl play on the board. I, for one, hope he is right.

I heard on the radio today that Oregon head Coach Bellotti is going to announce that he will take the AD job after the game and give the reigns up to Offensive Co-Ordinator Chip Kelly, which I think will motivate the players.

Teams have always risen up in Bowl games in the past for Coaches that weren't going to be there the next year.
It's still hard to figure out really how bad either defense really is.

Exactly his point. The line is moving Oregon's way but look at many forums/places and Okie St is being picked by about 70% of the public. The 1000 little guys putting $10-$50 on Okie St are not moving the line as much as the 10 guys putting 20 grand on Oregon.
