  • Boston Bruins

What a turnaround in 1 season after many sub par years.

Are they the best team in hockey right now (Winners of 8 straight)?

They are 9 points better than any other team in the East.

Yes, they are 2 points behind San Jose overall and they have played equal games BUT ...

Boston has scored more goals than any other team in the NHL and they have Given up less goals than any other team in the NHL. Think about that for a minute. You never see that happen.

They are such an exciting team to watch this year. It's crazy and i'm sure in the end they will probably come up short but you can't find Bruins gear up here. It is sold out everywhere and that hasn't happened in years.

    They never fucking lose..

My Habs are 14 points back of the division..

Best team in the East...hands downs...best team in the NHL not so IMO that would be the Sharks.

The stat about most goals scored AND least goals given up is unreal. I cannot remember the last time I seen that for BOTH categories inclusive by the same team...very impressive...funny how former Habs Ryder all of a sudden has is scoring touch back after a shit hole year with us last season. Sometimes a change of scenery is what one needs however because I like him he as a player. He is a sniper with a wicked wrist shot and quick release.

Why the Sharks? Because their 2 points better? It's hard to beat a team when they have the BEST offense in the NHL and the BEST Defense in the NHL. I will take that team over a 2 point lead anyday!

Savard, Krejci, Kessel, Ryder, Lucic, Wheeler, Bergeron, Chara ... all snipers/scorers and all are having All Star seasons (Except Bergeron because of injury).

I feel its because they play in the West which is a much tougher conference the East is wide open 1-8 where the West is more defined. But yes I do agree with the best offense AND defense it is hard to disagree with those number this is just my opinion. The Sharks 20 game home winning streak without losing in regulation is ridiculous. Also I think it goes back even further into last season and is something like 27 straight. Should be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out along with the post season....

I can recall a post earlier this year from you saying that you didn't give a fuck about the hockey, the Bruins, and its owner. The Bruins put shit out on the ice and the owner collects his big chunk of change right? I thought Boston only cares about the Patriots, Celtics, and Red Sox. Bandwagon

This talk about the "Great West" reminds me ALOT of the Celtics last year. All i heard was how much better the West was and how the C's would struggle. They buried the West all season and buried the Lakers in the Finals. I'm not worried about the West. Boston is 7-2-0 against the West and those guys will all take each other out before the Finals. If Boston was ever to get there, i would like their chances!

Yea I seen that Bergeron concussion on an elbow against Carolina was it? How long is he out for. Sucks being concussion prone it ruins a ton of great players careers in all sports...they say something like once you get that first one or 2nd or whatever its all downhill after that and subtle things will induce another consussion easily again...

I still HATE the owner. Jeremy Jacobs is a POS in everyone's opinion. The only good thing he finally did was put a great GM in place, who in turn got the right coach and players. You will NEVER see me praise Jacobs in any way. Alot of people up here have said they will never go to a game until there is new ownership. Of course winning is quickly changing that!

When your winning those things get swept under the rug..not only from his perspective but others also ....:
