Typical letdown spot after a big game. I think it might be wise to fade the Celtics for the next few weeks.

Celtics up 8 heading into the 4th quarter and only score 17 total points and lose by double digits. Alrighty then that makes a ton of sense...

No team in any sport wins every game. Celtics won 19 straight and now have lost two in a row-how awful.
I didn't bet the game, but when you stop and think about it, it is not the greatest shock in the world-all that emotional intensity needed to win 19 straight, then losing to Lakers and now a cold quarter against GS in addition to the fact that they might be tired and playing three hours behind their normal time zone.
Look at the Lakers up until they defeated NO in No and then Celtics yesterday-they have been playing horrible(for them anyways);even Cleveland had to rally during the last two minutes at home yesterday to defeat crappy Washington;shit happens even to the best.
Guess what-the Celtics will lose some more games this year along the way.

It makes a ton of sense when the celtics had a 19 game win streak snapped the day before on christmas day, in the biggest game of the year up to date, to a team they defeated in the finals last year... Then fly to play the next day in a arena they haven't won at in the last 4 tries.

Don't expect the losing streak to reach 3, the Celtics will take care of business on Sunday @ Sacramento as a 9 or 10 point favorite.

A thread about the biggest upset of the entire season in the NBA on a sports forum doesnt seem too worthless to me IMO but I could be wrong...

Please Chad, i'm a fucken Celtics fan and i pounded GS last night. Boston on back 2 back nights after a letdown. It wasn't that shocking. Are you sure a -10.5 favorite losing was the "Biggest Upset of the Year"? Seriously?? Geez grif, i said the same to Spark & Monte yesterday. It was such a normal and peaceful 2 weeks and now these useless threads are back .............

Wayne, I dont mind the bitching so much as starting a new thread just for one game. Since it seems no one lately is opening a nightly "in game" thread, I guess it was the only way to "bitch".

Usually when I open a in game thread, I call it a "in game bitch thread". Hopefully, that will keep all the bitching in one spot and prevent too many needless threads.

Personally, I dont mind the bitching if it is justified, like shitty coaching or officiating. The NBA is so freaky that anything can and will happen, we've seen it over and over again.
                            NBA is a joke

The Lakers were a bigger favorite @ Sacramento, a team with less wins than GS and LA lost by 12. It took me about 2 minutes to find a bigger loss than last night's.
