              Notes on today's games.............

              Youngstown State is 1-7 vs D-I teams, winning by 3 at High Point for its first win Friday; they're 1-2 vs spread in lined games. Charlotte lost six of its last seven games, with only win by hoop at 4-5 So. Illinois in last game. A-14 home favorites are 19-16 vs spread. Horizon road dogs are 12-14 against the number.

              Florida State is 11-1., losing by 14 at Northwestern when they were on way home from Vegas; Seminoles allowed 53.8 ppg in four games since then. Pitt is 10-0, but this is their first road game of season- they beat Pitt, Washington State on neutral floor in NJ. ACC imderdogs are 13-5 vs spread, 1-0 at home. Big East road favorites are 3-3.

              Home side won both Clemson-Miami games LY, with Tigers losing in Miami 75-72- they won rematch 79-69 at home. Clemson is 11-0, with road wins at Charlotte (71-70), Illinois (76-74). Miami is 7-2, losing on neutral floor to UConn (76-63) and 73-68 at home to Ohio State. 'canes are 7-0 when they score 70+ points, 0-2 otherwise.

              Idaho (+27) lost 74-43 at Washington State LY; Vandals are improved at 5-5 vs D-I teams, covering last three tries as an underdog. Wazzu is 7-3; this is their first game in eight days, and their first road game of season- they split pair of neutral court games, beating Misssissippi State 63-52, losing 57-43 to Pittsburgh.

              St John's held Marist to 19 second half points in 65-44 win Saturday; they're 7-1 vs lame schedule, losing 82-70 to Boston College- best win is 86-75 vs Cornell. Virginia Tech is 7-4, losing 77-73 t Seton Hall in only game vs Big East foe. ACC underdogs are 13-5 vs spread. Home faves from Big East are 24-26 vs spread.

              Murray State lost its last three games, allowing 75.7 ppg; Racers are 3-4 vs D-I teams. OVC favorites are 3-5 against the spread. Oral Roberts is 2-9, with three losses by four points or less- they lost to Wright State in yesterday's first round, 59-46, after losing by three at New Mexico in its previous game.

              South Florida snapped 4-game skid beating Murray State yesterday; the Bulls are 4-5, 2-1 vs spread as favorite. Big East favorites are 37-36 vs spread. Wright State won two of last three games after losing their first six games vs D-I opponents- they're 1-2 vs spread as a dog. Horizon League underdogs are 13-15 against the spread.

              Missouri State is 6-3, 2-2 vs spread as a favorite- they're 5-1 at home. MVC home favorites are 15-13 against the spread. Cal-Irvine is 1-8, 2-4 vs spread as an underdog, scoring less than 65 points in five of last six games. Big West road underdogs are 12-16 vs spread. MVC home faves are 14-12 against the spread.

              Loyola MD is playing for first time in 11 days; they're 3-7, with road losses by 30 at Davidson, 2 at Vermont. MAAC road dogs are 8-11 vs spread. Cal-Davis is 2-5 vs D-I opponents, losing two of three at home; Big West home favorites are 9-7 against the spread.
