  • Sunday Night sticking my Homer Neck out play!

    Guys,

I know a lot of system plays and great cappers here are going to be on the Skins tonight. It seems like the right side except I have watched this Redskin team underperform all year. I of course follow the Ravens very close.

Their are three big ways to beat the Ravens:

    1) Quick Strike offense (as demonstrated by the Colts), Ravens got blitz happy on Manning and he burned them.

    2) Pressure Flacco (as demonstrated by the Steelers and Colts both)

    3) Special teams scores (which the Ravens have been somewhat weak this year)

All that said, the Redskins do not have a pass rush. They have become a dink and dunk pass offense. Not gonna cut it against the Ravens Defense.

Unless the Skins run back a few kicks or get some turnovers this will be a easy win for the Ravens. I just dont see the Skins putting up more than 10 points. Baltimore has more weapons on offense with Flacco, Mason, Heap and Clayton. Leron Mclain, Rice and Magahee will out rush the skins Portis and Betts.

I am heading to the game right now and it is going to be fucking freezing

Sorry to go against some of my favorite cappers on this one but I am playing the Ravens -6 tonight HUGE!!!

    Final score Ravens 23 - Redskins 6

Like the call here and do not like that other formidable cappers are on the skins, but I was leaning Balty all week. I will join you with a teaser Balt+1 and under 41.
        Good Luck, enjoy the game!

              Flare,

I have followed and bet the World's Best NFL System picks for 25 years, I've printed the system in magazine articles, I've posted its picks on the internet since 1998, and, until tonight, I've never lost.

I'm saying this for a reason. Your thread is among many, many, many rebuttals to "THE" pick that I've come across over the years and I usually counter the threads but begging people not to lose money by betting against the system. They always give 50 million reasons why "THE" pick is the wrong side.

But for the first time I owe a HUGE "KUDOS" to a rebuttal thread.

Great call man. I cannot begin to tell you what BIG FRICKIN' KAHUNAS it takes to go against this system. Anyone who saw last year's Bills-COWBOYS game or the 2006 Bears-CARDINALS game can testify to how teams COLLAPSE under the system...

GREAT CALL. That's all I can say man. That was a HELLUVA call...especially on the final score prediction. I was expecting something like 16-13, either team winning...Good call...

              Regards,
              David

                Thanks Dave,

I not only have big Kahunas but I have a big .........
well a big bankroll anyway Also, those that know me have seen I will go against the Ravens as I did vs the Giants so the title "Homer" was ust a joke.

I will say if the system play were with two teams I did not follow too close, I would have been with you all the way.

I am truly sorry for the Skins betters and those that went over their head with the play. One BC member just said goodbye last night, dont know if he played it or it was the nail in the coffin but it shows how you must manage your money and realize thier are no locks.

I would have felt bad if I caused someone to switch off to the Ravens and they went down because of me. I never take anyones plays personally and neither should you or anyone who puts up plays, this is gambling and crazy shit happens. Ultimately, we pull the trigger.

Its good to have as much good insight out there as we can get so we can make good choices. Also, everyone needs to do their own homework too.

Keep the board posted on the next big play, I will be with you!

Flare great call. Keep up the good work. Hope you have a similar feeling next week against the Steelers.

Nice call Flare-I was with you on this one.
While I myself have quite a bit of respect for systems, I have more for the empirical evidence of how the teams in question are playing at the present time.
Last night was a clear example-Baltimore had been playing as well as anyone of late and Washington not very well at all.
I was a little hesitant to play Baltimore because of the system, but I decided that the Baltimore players are not mechanized robots going out to perform or not perform because of a system involving OTHER teams and OTHER players from past years indicated that they could not win.
A system which I did use this year with good results was betting against the Baltimore Orioles on Sundays;they lost somewhere between 14-17 consecutive games on Sundays (can't remember exact number)and had a dreadful record on Sundays for the entire season.
I think this system is more meaningful because you are dealing with a SPECIFIC team in a SPECIFIC year where a trend has been clearly established.
Obviously the system for the football game had some merit also, otherwise it wouldn't have had as much success as it did.
However, at least for me, the the trends of the present with the teams involved are more important, and that was clearly demonstrated last night.
Again, congratulations for the pick and insight.
