Notes on the best games on today's card........

Nebraska beat Arizona State 62-47 LY; Huskers are 6-0, winning 62-50 at TCU in its only road game- they also beat Creighton by hoop after they were down 13 at half. Big 12 road dogs are 4-1 vs spread; Pac-10 home favorites are 11-18. ASU is 6-1, losing only to Baylor in Anaheim.

Missouri lost 86-72 at Cal LY, after leading by 8 at half; Tigers are 5-1, losing only to Xavier by 4 on neutral floor. Cal is 6-1 under new coach Montgomery, losing by 3 to Florida State on neutral floor- they beat UNLV on Strip. Big 12 home favorites are 12-13 vs spread; Pac-10 road dogs are 6-2.

Oklahoma crushed Tulsa 81-55 LY (-16), leading 46-16 at half; Sooners are 7-0, with four wins by five or less points- this is their first game on road this season, though they did beat UAB, Purdue on neutral floors. Tulsa is 4-3, losing 75-63 at Ohio in last game. Big 12 favorites are 8-5 away from home; C-USA home dogs are 3-3. .

Florida State (+9) handed Gators their first loss of season LY, 65-51 in Gainesville; Seminoles lost at Northwestern Wednesday, tehir first loss this season. Gators are 5-1, losing by 6 to Syracuse. ACC underdogs are 12-5 vs spread- this is first time this season an ACC team is home underdog. SEC road favorites are 3-2 vs spread.

Maryland ACC favorites are 9-10 vs spread away from home, 6-4 on neutral courts. Terps beat Michigan during week; they're 5-2, losing to Gonzaga, Georgetown in Florida, but also beating Michigan State there. George Washington lost by 12 at Auburn. A-14 dogs are 12-13 against spread away from home, 4-3 on neutral floors.

Oregon won 80-77 in OT at Kansas State LY Big 12 road dogs are 4-1 vs spread. Pac-10 home favorites are 11-18. Ducks are 3-4, losing 95-81 at Utah in last game- they lost last home game, to Oakland. Wildcats lost pair of games by a hoop last week in Vegas (Iowa/Kentucky)- they're
5-2, beating Cleveland State and four stiffs.

Niagara won four of last five games vs Loyola, with underdog covering five of last six series games; Eagles' 92-87 win here LY was their first in last four visits to Loyola; they're 6-2, but lost last game at home to the Akron Zips. Loyola is 2-6 after losing conference opener at home to Siena Friday night-- this is Niagara's MAAC opener.

Rider won last three games vs Manhattan by 7-3-13 points; favorites are 3-1 vs spread in last four series games. Rider's only loss is to Rutgers by 4 pts- they scored 79.7 ppg in their three wins, 62 in the loss. Jaspers are 4-2 after winning on Friday in MAAC opener, making 11-22 treys, after they had lost previous two games.

St Peter's swept Canisius LY, holding them to 61 ppg; underdog is 8-2 vs spread in last ten series games; Peacocks are 1-5 this season, with four losses by 15+ points- they scored 55.6 ppg last five tilts. Griffins are 2-3 in last five visits to Jersey City; they're 3-4 after losing by 18 at Manhattan Friday.

Fairfield won three of last four games vs Iona; Gaels lost four of last five visits here, with losses by 25-17-3-9 points. Stags shot 56% from floor in 20-point win in MAAC opener Friday- they're 4-2, winning last three games by 9-12-20 points. Iona was 0-10 from arc in 51-50 loss at Marist Friday. Gaels lost to Wisconsin in OT on neutral floor last month.
