enough b.s sorry about all that now here we go
I have never been a de la hoya fan, BUT if he trained well (which has been his excuse in his last 3 fights) so i don't know what shape he's in, but if he's in top shape i think he takes it. I like paq's style but that's the problem, so does de la hoya, paq is more of a go forward type of guy and hoya is a counter puncher. stick and move ya know. hoya is at this weight for the first time since 2001, but he still has experience and power over paq.
If you taking paq i would want it to go all the way as hoya has faded in his last 3 fights at round 10. a lot of people say he could of beat maywheather. NO HE COULDN'T but i will say he has come the closest. everyone says if he would have stuck with the jab he would have won, he couldn't stick with it because he was out of gas. think of this if hoya did come the closest to beating maywheather, do you think paq is as fast or faster ?(that is the biggest thing that scares me is he actually hit maywheather a couple times) Plus hoya will be lighter so he might be a little quicker also without the extra weight.
no doubt paq has the edge in speed, age, and especially the corner, his trainer is freddie roach (best IMO)and he's been with him for a while, hoya's trainer is his first fight with hoya. The biggest advantage for hoya though is clearly height, not sure what the reach is but paq is 5'6 on a good day and hoya is a legit 5'10. if he can keep paq away with a jab it's only a matter of time before the left hook comes because paq will walk into it, and if paq does hurt him inside i feel hoya can just hug him to death because of the height, you know tie him up. All this sounds like i'm picking hoya..................................
BUT i'm with you chunger on the dog, it's worth the value in my mind, and also IMO age is biggest factor in boxing. hoya is old, paq is in his prime, hoya faded in round 10 last 3, paq is conditioning machine, freddie roach said sometimes he looks like he's ready for 20 rounds. well i hope he is because he's gonna have to be very fast for the first 6 rounds IMO to gas hoya a little like maywheather, then he can get aggressive as hoya won't have the KO power after round 6. hoya is the golden boy been there done that, paq is a tough guy from phillipines hence he's not running any t.v shows or promotions. I'm riding with you and paq, but if hoya wins sloppy i''ll have to come in here and say.................can you say GOLDEN BOY PRODUCTIONS.
ask for opinions and you shall recieve chunger. BTW how much do you like it ? just kidding calm down buddy
