Good Afternoon.
Went a combined 11-5 yesterday in all sports which I am thrilled about.
Breakdown went like this
NCAA Football: 3-4
3-4. 3 of the 4 losses involved MAC teams. I hate that conference and will be ignoring from now on. Hit my big 5 unit play on Boise State. Plus 2.2 Units on the day.
NHL
4-1. Nailed my big GOM#2, an easy winner over in the 2nd period. Went 3-1 in regular two unit plays. Plus 11.6 Units on the day.
NBA
4-0. Ventured into the NBA for the first time this season on BC and swept the board!!!!!!!! Plus 8 units on the day.
Plus 22 Units all sports and looking to continue that today. No time for writeups today but I am posting another 5 Unit huge play (huge for me as I rate my plays 1-3 units normally but step out to play games I love, as with Boise yesterday and SJ/Dallas Over in NHL).
Starting before 6pm. Will be back later with the night card. Here is what I like
356 Rice +3 5 Units
Small writeup on this one. Home team dominates this series lately holding a 6-2 ATS mark. Also, Rice is a solid home team going 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS this year while, conversely, Houston is 1-4 ATS on the road and only 2-3 SU. Both teams are over .500 in conference, but Rice is a solid 6-1 ATS and Houston is just a game over the mark. Houston has won 3 straight against Rice, needing comebacks of 10+ points the last two years to win late, but have not won 4 straight in this series in 16 years and I dont think they break that streak today. Both teams have a shot at the CUSA West title so both should be focused. Love the home team here as I think the wrong team is favored.
349 Texas Tech -22
Texas Tech won 12 straight against BU by an average of 30ppg. I think this is their best team yet, certainly their best defensive team, and will return to form after last week's drubbing. Baylor is 0-15 SU and 4-11 ATS vs. ranked opponents their last 15 and have been beaten by an average of 28 pts per game in that span. I would lay 22 if Texas Tech were on the road. Think the line is way too small here.
367 Marshall +16
352 Memphis -14
341/342 Maryland/Boston College
Of all the games to post an over on, I almost cant believe that this is the one it has come down to. But I like it, therefore I am posting.
My other 5 unit selection is going tonight and I just want to fine tune my thoughts before I post.
NHL
3/4 Chicago/LA Kings Over 5 1/2 -125
Good luck everyone!

I can put up some strong trends here showing while OU should cover, but if I did that I would also have to mention some equally strong stats on State's side so I will not mention either. What I will say is this. I liken it a bit to the Thanksgiving Day game between Tennessee and Detroit. I understand pros and colleges have little in common but I based my Tennessee play having little to do with the Titans and much to do with Detroit's ineptness. Well, in the OU/OSU game I am basing my selection on the fact that I believe OU is heads and shoulders above any team in the country with the exception of Texas. And certainly a touchdown and a fieldgoal better than OSU. Sure the homefield will be a big advantage but OSU needs more than that. OU has scored 35 points in EVERY game and 50+ in 7 of them. They have the #1 ranked offense in the country and the #1 ranked D in the Big 12. OSU hung with Texas AT Texas and Texas beat OU. But anyone that watched that Texas/OSU knows that Texas went through the motions. And a team that OU just absolutely humiliated, in turn, humiliated OSU. Huge stage here. Coach Gundy at OSU is 0-7 facing OU as a player and coach (he was the Cowboys QB 86-89). Cowboys backers will point to their 6-0 SU and ATS mark at home, but I will point to the fact that it was against Iowa State, Baylor, Texas A&M, Troy, Missouri State and Houston. Not 1 impressive foe on that list. Point being, OU is a touchdown and a fg better than OSU regardless of the stadium.
