Detroit Pistons at Boston Celtics [TNT | 8 PM ET]

Pistons: Detroit has won four of five games after rallying back for a 96-89 win over Cleveland on Wednesday. The Pistons outscored the Cavs 58-40 in the second half after trailing by 11 points at halftime. Allen Iverson totaled 23 points and four assists against Cleveland and finally seems to be settling in after the team lost the first two games following his arrival. “It’s early, but it’s exciting,” Iverson said.

Pistons are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 road games.
The OVER is 7-2 in Detroit's last 9 road games.

              Key Injuries - NONE

PROJECTED SCORE: 86 (UNDER - Total Play of the Day)

Celtics (-7, O/U 183.5): Boston is coming off a 110-101 victory against New York on Tuesday despite playing without star Kevin Garnett, who was sitting out with a one-game suspension. “Not having a great player out there, you definitely miss him,” Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo said. “But we tried to go out tonight and get the ball moving and that’s what we did. A lot of guys got shots." Rondo totaled a season-high 15 points against the Knicks and came of age in the Eastern Conference Finals last year vs. Detroit. Boston has won seven of the last nine meetings.

Celtics are 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games vs. Central Division.
The OVER is 3-1 in Boston's last 4 games overall. F Kevin Garnett (suspension) is expected to return.

Los Angeles Lakers at Phoenix Suns [TNT | 10:30 PM ET]

Lakers (-4, O/U 206.5): LA is the only NBA team without a road loss this season at 4-0 and will be looking to win three straight at US Airways Center after winning both meetings there last season. Pau Gasol scored a season-high 34 points in a 116-109 win over Chicago on Tuesday and believes the combination of him and Andrew Bynum inside has been too much for opponents this season. “Me and Andrew, it’s hard to match up,” Gasol said. “I think we should make a consistent effort to do that every game. You’ve got two guys who can produce.”

Lakers are 35-16 ATS in their last 51 games vs. Pacific Division.
The UNDER is 11-1 in LA's last 12 Thursday games.

              Key Injuries - NONE

              PROJECTED SCORE: 105

Suns: Phoenix center Shaquille O'Neal has enjoyed a surprisingly good yet controversial season so far, announcing he would like to finish off his career with the Lakers after his current contract expires. O'Neal has also been fined $60,000 by the NBA over the last week for his roles in two different altercations and verbally abusing an official. “Doesn’t matter to me,” O’Neal said. “I’m not the one that can be controlled with fines, so that doesn’t matter to me.” The Suns are hoping he can let his play speak positively for them tonight with a win.

Suns are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
The UNDER is 3-1 in Phoenix's last 4 games overall.

SIU: Southern Illinois is back in Madison Square Garden for the semifinals of the Coaches vs. Classic semifinals after topping UMass, 80-73. The Salukis will be playing at MSG for the first time since 1968 when they lost 78-54 to Duke. They had won their previous four games there en route to the 1967 NIT title. “Madison Square Garden is a basketball mecca,” SIU head coach Chris Lowery said. “It’s the best basketball arena in the world, and for our guys to be able to experience that and to have a first-round matchup against Duke is terrific."

SIU is 6-3 ATS in its last 9 games overall.

They had beaten Presbyterian and Georgia Southern by a combined 74 points in their first two games and believe that close call will help them in New York against quality opponents. “I don’t think our guys expected the level of play,” Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski said. “Don’t get me wrong. We respected Rhode Island. But they played at a really high level. I thought it knocked us back.”
