As a Nats fan I was happy with the deal that brought Olsen and Willingham. That being said both will probably immediately spend time on the DL and make the trade worthless. But yea the Fish are kind of embarassing with these type of deals.

Why is it gay? You should be the last person calling a thread gay. I don't know of any other member that creates more useless threads than you. Being a long suffering Pirate fan, it is a joke doing what they do, but they have won 2 World Series in recent years. I dont think in my lifetime I will see a Pirate pennant anytime soon. Any half way decent player the Bucs get, they either trade them away or give up on them. Some how the Marlins make it work

I agree that they can't spend the money that all othe rteams can, but shouldn;t they at least be forced to spend what other teams give them as part of the revenue share. I might be wrong but I think there total payroll was in the low 20's and they are getting $30 million from other teams! They should be forced to have a payroll of $30 million. No?

Basically. The biggest part of it was Bonaficio the speedy second baseman they got from the Dbacks last season. But other than that just a couple of prospects. It is a good deal for the Nats and it's pretty sad that the Fish are so willing to deal in their own division. I think they've traded with everyone other than the Phils the last couple of years.
