Good-morning/afternoon guys...Nice day yesterday going 2-0-1 but I will say I got totally screwed in the last one. I bet it early so I got 151 when at game time it was down to 147. There were about 145 pts scored with 6 mins to go...in the last 2 minutes the total was at 151 and what happens? A ton of missed shots and maybe 7-8 missed Free Throws between these two teams...UGHH, notice the word FREEEEE throw, guess not eh? Anyways, lets move on.

1*PRAIRIE VIEW +35...I know, I know they are awful. Actually an awful 8-22 team last year which lost its 2 best players. I don't think UCLA will run it up too too high though and they MAY struggle to put up the points they will be scoring later in the year with so many guys making their first appearances. Collison and Shipp are back but look for Howland to play around a little like Coach K did to see what he has in an early game which will be an easy win one way or another. I think UCLA takes them by about 30-32 pts giving up a tight cover. The possibility of a 40+ pt win is still there so this stays as a 1*.

I will be back later with what looks like 2 more plays..

I stopped betting CFL a while ago Chado...I can see the Als winning by 20+ but I can also see a scenario where they lose this game SU. Ricky Ray is a pain in the ass and I am not sure but when the Als play at the Olympic Stadium, while there are 50,000 fans and it will be loud, they don't seem to get the home field comfort. No betting the game...

rest of my plays will be up in moments.

OK fellas, here are the rest of them. Going to have 4 picks total tonight.

                1*PRAIRIE VIEW +35...already posted.

2*MIAMI OHIO/WEBER STATE UNDER 57.5 1st half...I don't want to throw #'s all over because this is a new season so things may change. Miami Ohio is not exactly a scoring juggernaut and that is because they play in one disciplined offense. They return 4 starters and plenty of seniors so they know the system and will dictate the pace of this game all the way. The only reason I am not playing them -12.5 is because they didn't blow out many teams out last year (especially on the road). They play excellent defense and fundamental basketball. Weber State has lost a lot of their starters and they will fall into playing the Miami OH boring play. They will find it difficult to get to the hoop and I don't see them putting up much in the 1st half. I HATE BETTING UNDERS FOR GAME IN BASKETS DUE TO BS FREE THROWS AT THE END. I really don't see more than 50 pts in the 1st half and don't be shocked to see Weber struggle to get 20 of them.

2*NORTHEASTERN +5...This team is being heavily undervalued here and should be getting more respect. Honestly the only thing keeping this from a 4* is that Michigan is playing on their home court and I think that is a reason for the generosity of this line. With their whole team back don't look for N-EASTERN to be bothered by playing on the road and Michigan is getting a ton of public action simply based on name. Other than Manny Harris who may score a ton tonight I don't see any problems. Northeastern plays a much more controlled game that athletic Michigan and I think they will win this thing SU.

1*IUPUI -9...We were talking about how they lost a lot of players but brought in some more than capable youngsters. Well they struggled mightily in Game 1 against a very experienced Northeastern but tonight they go against Michigan Tech. You really want me to have only -9 in what I see as a 20 point win? Watch the young guys fly around Mich Tech and not go 0-40 from the 3 pt line. This shouldn't be close but how can I trust IUPUI with more than a 1* so early in the year...

                GL fellas, lets sweep em!

What makes you think they dont get home field comfort. I just checked and they are 5-1 SU at Olympic Stadium since 2000?

They win there but I usually go to watch and they don't look the same ever, I can't explain it. Also the Eskies are a team that if they're on they can beat anybody. In all likelihood Als will win and cover but I am done with CFL like I said.

Yea I didnt get to see much of that 40-4 win over the Esks in the regular season but how confident are in your defence stopping Ray? I dont mean betting on CFL yourself just generally having conversation here....

DOC, nothing on the Southern Ill game vs Massachusetts. Mass is strong just like last year and Southern Ill struggled to get past California, and no not the bears the team from Pennsylvania. ANy thoughts on this game? Good spot for Mass...

I actually loved UMASS looking at the lines when they first came out but it got me thinking after digging. I believe UMASS has a new coach so that can take time and they are an uptempo team. This Salukis team has changed from years past but the coaching is still pressing the concept of a deadly defense and I am worried that Southern Illinois will control the game playing their style and not letting UMASS run as they would like. That said my instinct was Umass so it became a no play for me.

Hey Doc would really appreciate your home town opinion on your Als...I am going to be throwing the house down in one of my biggest CFL wagers of the season on a MTL/CGY ML parlay and the only one of the two that has me slightly conerned is your Als not worried at all about the Stampeders winning. CFL is my strongest sports of ALL to cap and I have been hitting things hard all season long. Won on both underdogs outright last week BIG. I know you guys beat them 40-4 earlier this year and that was like the only game I didnt watch all year. How did they hold Ray to only 4 points and will they do it again? I know you watch them regularly and do you have faith they can just win this game SU and (regardless of a cover)? Is your defense strong enough to hold Ray in check? The Esks have no running game whatsoever the Als should be able to leave them one dimensional and get pressure on Ray. The need to avoid giving him anytime at all and cut out those crossing routs to Stamps and Peterson...you think they can get it done and host the grey Cup next weekend or what?
