I am so confused...too close but say it was a fumble...you have every ref blowing the whistle that it is a TD and the play is dead so then what?

If the Eagles recovered that fumble, it's their ball regardless of the whistle...remember, they changed the rule a few yrs ago to state even if the whistle blows and its recovered by the defense, it's still a fumble and change of possession.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought even though the whistle blows, the defense can still recover a fumble.

I know in college, they changed the rule this year to say even if the whistle blows, and the defense recovers a fumble in a "continuous motion," it's still a fumble.
