Whistle doesn't matter anymore in regards to fumbles.

    • If Burress can get back to the high level of play he had during the playoff run, I think the GMEN repeat.

???? How can a whistle not matter? Players give up when they hear it....no?

If the Eagles recovered that fumble, it's their ball regardless of the whistle...remember, they changed the rule a few yrs ago to state even if the whistle blows and its recovered by the defense, it's still a fumble and change of possession.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought even though the whistle blows, the defense can still recover a fumble.

                    • I know in college, they changed the rule this year to say even if the whistle blows, and the defense recovers a fumble in a "continuous motion," it's still a fumble.

                      • Coughlin should have challenged the previous spot...if they had jumped, then it would have been a first!!!

                        • Lol, Giants should've challenged that fumble cuz that offsides would've given them a 1st down.

                              • Maybe it's the "down by contact" rule I'm thinking of that they changed.

                                Fuck me.
