Northern Illinois may be showing signs of wear and tear, especially on defense, as five of its starters are sidelined with injuries for todays game.

EVEN THEIR QB is coming off a concussion!!

Senior linebacker Nick Duffy, who leads the team in career tackles with 399, is out for the season with a right ankle fracture, and junior wide receiver Dan Sheldon, the defending NCAA punt return champion, is lost with a dislocated left elbow.

Defensive end Jason Frank has a right knee sprain, defensive end Travis Moore a left ankle sprain, and linebacker Javen Lee is doubtful for this weekend with a right hamstring strain.

Quarterback Josh Haldi suffered a mild concussion last week but is expected to return.

ON THE OTHER HAND==>The Broncos' bright spot is their passing attack, which is third in the nation with 344.3 yards per game.

Ended up NOT working today!!

I thought I'd go a little WACKO after a 15-4 Saturday last week and toss out all the games I had capped up (not fully on a few--I give you Tex A&M which was a VERY bad pick on my part).....I was just going to build a small pot to play with tonight in a couple of "big ones"!
