I had only one college play last week, a winner on SD State. Once again, there isn't much I like this week so a small card.
1* Mia-FL +3 (-120)
Virginia is a weird team, winning four in a row after startingthe season just terribly. I think they revert to the mean this week. Miami has played well against decent competion and is coming off a win over Wake after playing the best team in the ACC, Florida State, fairly well. The ACC is a joke this year and that's allowed a bad team like Virginia to rack up some wins. Take the dog (I like buying the hook here as it is only an extra -10 in college).
1* Utah State +6 1/2
The 1 pm Mountain start time is rough for Hawaii (essentially 10 am by their body clocks). Utah State is better than most think this year. They whipped an admittedly bad Idaho team, avoided embarrasment against BYU and had Fresno beaten last week before Fresno's kicker nailed a bomb FG at the end of the game. This is a winnable game for Utah State which has two road games next. I think they'll play really hard against a Hawaii team that is getting better but is very inexperienced.

2-2 last week, winning a 2* on the Ravens and a 1* on the Cowboys while losing 1* plays on the 49ers and the Steelers.
I like this week's pro card quite a bit. (The Green Bay pick was posted earlier at the line I list below and while it has gone down, I still like it.)
2* Bills -5 1/2
I love this one. The Jets aren't very good. They still haven't beaten a good team and are coming off a loss to the Raiders and a near miss to the Chiefs. Buffalo is a playoff team that comes home off a division loss. I think they win by 20.
1* Packers +6 (-120)
Can you find a more blatant letdown spot for the Titans than this? They come off their biggest win in a long time over the Colts at home. GB is off the bye and healthy again. While the Packers have the Vikings next, they were playing well enough prior to the bye and should keep this close.
1* Vikings -4 1/2
Minnesota's offense looked awesome in the loss before the bye to Chicago. True, the defense was bad but this is still a pretty strong defensive team. Letdown here for the Texans after solid games but now they play a road non-conf game against a team fresh off a bye.
Monday:

(I'll write this up later but will take this line now; there are some -2's out there and even a couple of -1's but 1 1/2 is what I bet so it's what I'll post)
