Kaptains "S Fla/Cinn" Take + More
I'm gonna use one thread for today, starting off with the NCAA FB game, cause I know who I'm playing....some in here mentioned that S Fla would have problems cause they're not used to the cold weather....here's the forecast.....
Weather
S FLORIDA
CINCINNATI
Thu 7:45 p.m. ET CLEAR. SOUTH WIND 3-8 50 degrees, sunny.......
doesn't look like like any inclimate weather to hinder any fair weather team to me....
Let's take a Look at S Fla (SFL) and Cinn (CIN) as I see it.....
Odds makers have this game as S Fla - 2 1/2 and total set at 50....has come down some from original line....
First of all I think the line is set low due to past history and trends favoring CIN....however, I don't use trends, past history, who's due, etc....I use STATS (current ones) to make my decisions----here's a few....
OFFENSE
SFL RYPG 171---CIN 126...............adv SFL
SFL PYPG 254---CIN 258...............EVEN
SFL TYPG 425---CIN 384...............adv SFL
DEFENSE
SFL ALLOWS 81 RYPG---CIN 102.....slight adv SFL
SFL ALLOWS 185 PYPG---CIN 228....slight adv SFL
SFL ALLOWS 266 TYPG---CIN 330...adv SFL
Strength of Schedule (SOS)
Both played about equal rated teams.....SFL is 6-2....CIN is 5-2
Home field advantage goes to CIN.....
CIN is down to 3rd string QB for this game....Original QB was out for a broken non throwing hand, and he playes the first 1/2 last week, but numbness set in his non throwing hand and he had problems handling/holding on to the ball....
3rd string QB is also not 100 %, but is ready....On standby are 2 former Hi school QB's palying other positions on the team, and thy haven't taken a snap....
CIN has gone over 25 straight 3rd down conversion attempts without any success......
SFL has a veteran QB who has thrown many more TD's than he has INT's....I beleive the D of SFL comes out, and the steady play of SFL QB (ball control---less turnovers), will prevail in an "ugly ass game"......

I see a 27-17 game IMO
