I watched the video 3 times and you can clearly tell he did not mean to do it...although it looked like he lowered his shoulder into Garcia you tell it was a jolt effort to try and jump past him to the left quickly but ended up drilling him as he guessed the wrong way and the same way the QB went IMO...

IF this video is legit, this ref should NEVER be allowed to ref again! If you watch it closely, the ref "slides" over in front of the QB and throws a forearm shiver. I just got home from work and haven't seen or heard any tv/radio talk but HOLY SHIT!

This DEFINITELY a LEGIT video....I was watching the game live, it was talked about that night by the announcers, and has been ALL over the Sports channels since then.....

Coach Spurrier was asked about it, and he said he thought the ref was trying to get out of the way....Course that was right after the game, b4 he had a chance to review the film....

The announcers, during the game, said the REF was a former NCAA LineBacker from I think some Michigan School, if memory serves me right...

May have been an instinctive move, but he definitely put an intentional elbow into him....

I've seen two different angles of this video and I can't believe a referre did this. Referre had plent of time and room to get out of the way but he lunges at him. WTF? I want my money back lol. The ref needs to be interviewed by asking him WTF he was thinking.
