Legendary Gambling Figure Dies

In case you missed it, Frank "Lefty" Rosenthal died this week. He was the guy who ran the Stardust Hotel in Vegas for the mob. He had a falling out after famed mobster Anthony Spilotro had an affair with Rosenthal's estranged wife.

The story was the basis for the movie Casino. Robert deNiro played the character based on Rosenthal, Sharon Stone played his wife and Joe Pesci played the Spilotro character.

Rosenthal had been selling picks as a tout the last 10-15 years.
