Hawaii at #15 Boise State [ESPN | 8 PM ET]

Hawaii: The Rainbow Warriors have a little something going after wins over Fresno State and Louisiana Tech. Junior quarterback Inoke Funaki has solidified his spot as the starter by leading the Warriors to those back-to-back wins. Funaki is 31-of-51 passing for 394 yards and four touchdowns with one interception in the past two games since becoming the starter. In addition, he has rushed for 212 yards in the past three games. The defense still must address its weakness against the run. The Warriors have allowed 190 yards or more on the ground in four of their six games, including 318 yards to Fresno State.

Boise State (-24, O/U 52): The Broncos' five-year reign as WAC champions ended last Thanksgiving weekend in Hawaii with a 39-27 loss to the Warriors. The rematch is Friday night at Bronco Stadium. Boise State has gotten off to hot starts this season. The Broncos early scoring spurts have made it so they have trailed for just 6:51 this season. They have led every second of every second half. Boise State is allowing just 11.2 points per game, good for seventh in the nation, despite allowing 315.2 yards per game. They have done it by holding opponents to a 58.3% touchdown conversion rate in the red zone, 29.1% on third-down conversions and 28.5% on fourth-down conversions.

Boise State is 5-1 ATS in its last 6 conference games.

#16 Kansas at #4 Oklahoma [ABC | 3:30 PM ET]

Kansas: The Jayhawks continue to improve their ground game and Jake Sharp is a key reason since being elevated from third string. Two Big 12 games have resulted in two 100-yard games, including 118 yards on 31 carries as Sharp turned into a workhorse against Colorado. Sharp is a nice complement to quarterback Todd Reesing, who leads a Jayhawks offense that averages 331 yards per game through the air. The Kansas defense has played well of late but it hasn’t seen the kind of firepower that Oklahoma’s possesses up to this point.

Kansas is 12-3 ATS in its last 15 conference games.
Kansas is 6-1 ATS in its last 7 road games.

Key Injuries - WR Kelly Meier (leg) is probable.

Oklahoma (-20, O/U 60.5): The Sooners have to rebound from a tough loss to rival Texas last week and get ready to take on a very good Kansas team. The Sooners running game was non-existent against Both TCU and Texas and has become a concern in Norman. Against the Longhorns, Oklahoma rushed for just 1.8 yards per carry. Luckily for the Sooners they have quarterback Sam Bradford. To date, Bradford is completing 72.4% of his passes (134-of-185) and has thrown 23 touchdown passes against five picks.

#12 Ohio State at #20 Michigan State [ABC | 3:30 PM ET]

Ohio State (-3, O/U 41): For all the talk about Terrelle Pryor, the Ohio State offense continues to struggle. Last week against Purdue – the 108th ranked defense in the country – the Buckeyes only scored 16 points and were held out of the end zone. For the second time since becoming the starter, Pryor was held to less than 100 yards passing and Beanie Wells was held under 100 yards rushing by a below average Purdue defense. Luckily for the Buckeyes, their defense and special teams have picked up the slack for a slumping offense.

Key Injuries - DE Lawrence Wilson (knee) is OUT.

Michigan State: After dropping its opener on the road at Cal, Michigan State has now won six straight games. RB Javon Ringer has been a beast, already topping 1,000 yards for the season but quarterback Brian Hoyer stepped up last week against Northwestern as well. Hoyer completed 14 of 20 passes for 169 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 37-20 win over the Wildcats. The Spartans biggest weakness has been defending the run, allowing an average of 135 yards a game. Last week Northwestern’s Tyrell Sutton rumbled for 139 yards and now the Spartans have to worry about the tandem of Terrelle Pryor and Beanie Wells.

#11 Missouri at #1 Texas [ABC | 8 PM ET]

Missouri: After Texas defeated Oklahoma earlier in the day, it looked like this could be a matchup of two top three teams. However, someone forget to tell Oklahoma State, who upset Missouri 28-23. Quarterback Chase Daniel tossed for 390 yards against Oklahoma State but he also threw three costly interceptions. But the biggest problem for Missouri is its defense. The Tigers gave up over 400 yards of total offense to the Cowboys and for the year allow an average of 380 yards per game, despite playing an easy schedule early in the season. Missouri hasn’t beaten Texas in Austin since 1896.

Missouri is 8-0 ATS in its last 8 road games.

Texas (-6, O/U 69.5): The Longhorns were flying under the radar but that isn’t the case anymore after Texas defeated Oklahoma last week to vault to No. 1 in the polls. Junior quarterback Colt McCoy continues to shine. He completed 28 of 35 passes for 277 yards, while RB Chris Ogbonnaya added 127 yards rushing against the Sooners. Texas’ defense did allow 35 points and 377 yards passing to Oklahoma but they made big stops when they needed to. The unit is much improved this year under new defensive coordinator Will Muschamp, allowing just 51 yards per game on the ground.

Texas is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 conference games.
Texas is 7-0 ATS in its last 7 games overall.

Friday's Game

:Hawai'i lost last two visits to blue carpet, 69-3/41-34; high scoring is the norm in this series, with average total in last five meetings, 74.2. Boise State won its two home games, 20-7/38-3; they had long trip to Hattiesburg last week, beating Southern Miss 24-7. In first half of the four games vs D-I teams, Boise outscored foes 89-16. Hawai'i lost two of three on road (10-56 at Florida, 7-45 at Oregon State, 32-39 in OT at Fresno)- they won last two games overall, with +8 TO ratio.

Saturday's Games

Top 13 games

Wake Forest beat Clemson last week; they're still hampered by injury to P-K Swank, an All-American; Deacons are 2-0 in ACC, scoring 12 points in both games (12-3/12-7). Wake won last two series games by 38-24/31-24 scores. Maryland won three games in row before getting drubbed 31-0 at Virginia, a strange loss. Terps allowed an average of 197.7 rushing yards per game in their last three games.

Week of disarray for Clemson, who fired coach and had its offensive coordinator quit; RB Spiller is out (hamstring) and now Georgia Tech is in town, winners of their last three games (but last week was a 10-7 win over I-AA Gardner-Webb). Tech has QB issues, as different kid started their last three games. Home side won last three series games, with the average total just 24.3.

Virginia Tech won last five games after opening loss to East Carolina; they lost three of last four vs BC, blowing 10-0 lead LY, as Ryan led late Eagle comeback in 14-10 win. BC outgained NC State 586-245 in last game but needed late TD for 38-31 win (threw 51 passes, ran ball 29 times). Hokies ran ball 106 times in last two games, passed it only 33- they have +8 turnover ratio- they've won at UNC, Nebraska.

Oklahoma lost to Texas last week, has to bounce back vs Kansas club they've beaten 19-3/41-10 in last two meetings (but last one was 2005 before Jayhawks' current resurgence). Kansas scores 33.6 ppg vs D-I teams; their only loss was 37-34 at good South Florida team. Kansas is 3-2-1 vs spread as road dog since '06. Sooners are bully team, with its wins all by 25+ points- they covered six of last eight as a favorite.

Alabama won last four games in what has been one-sided rivalry with Ole Miss; Rebels lost last two visits here 28-7/26023ot . Ole Miss is 1-2 in SEC, but all three games were decided by seven or less points- they covered last five games as an underdog. Alabama is 2-2 as a fave; they had bye after slim 17-14 win vs Kentucky/ Tide outscored foes 147-20 in first half this season, are just 13 for last 37 on third down.

Vanderbilt was 5-0, then went to Starkville, lost 17-14, gaining total of 107 yards on 46 plays, with 65 penalty yards; their last two games vs Georgia were decided by total of five points, with Vandy winning last visit here, 24-22 (+14). Vandy is 15-4 vs spread in last 19 tries as dog on road. Georgia has just six takeaways in six games; they're 4-1 vs its D-I foes, 2-1-2 as a favorite, with three wins by 12+ points.

Michigan State won its last six games; they're 4-0 at home, allowing a total of 30 points, but they've lost last five years to Ohio State, with Buckeyes winning last two visits here, 32-19/38-7. OSU beat Purdue last week, but their only TD came on blocked punt- they're 1-1 away from home, losing 35-3 at USC, winning 20-17 at Wisconsin- they've got a +7 turnover ratio, are -75 in total yards last two games.

Texas has hungry Missouri team coming in after Longhorns had great win vs Oklahoma last week; that was only game this year they've won by less than 24 points. Mizzou got upset at home by Oklahoma State last week, after scoring 53.8 ppg in first four games vs D-I opponents. Tigers are 6-3 vs spread in last nine games as road dog. Texas is 29 of last 53 on third down, so QB McCoy is making plays, moving chains.

Virginia woke up after dismal start, winning last two games by total of 66-20, after losing first three by 128-20 margin. UTEP won its last three games after not winning for 11 months since beating Tulsa 48-47 LY (+3), home side won four of last five in series, with Miners losing last two visits here, 37-35/30-20. Underdog is 4-0 vs spread in last four series games. Tulsa is scoring 51.4 ppg against D-I teams, with wins by 23-30-42-35 points, but they trailed at SMU at halftime last week, before rallying for the 37-31 win (-23). UTEP is 14-5 vs spread in last 19 tries as road underdog.

UL-Lafayette ran ball for 335-556-338 yards in last three games, all on road, winning two league games, losing 45-37 at Kansas State- this is just their second home game of year (beat Kent 44-27). Cajuns are 7-2 vs spread in last nine games. Home side won their last four games with Arkansas State- ASU lost last two visits here, 27-24/28-13, and is 1-6 in last seven road games overall, but their +10 turnover ratio has them at 4-2.
