Well the day is almost over and here is how my day differed from a day when there are games to gamble on.
It is actually funny that the most significant thing thing which happened today had nothing to do with gambling or no gambling.
I have a 2002 Honda Insight which I have owned since August 2002.
I have never had any problems with the battery.
Well today I went to pick up my daughter at school and waited in the parking lot.
Well, she arrived, got into the car, but lo and behold, when I went to start the car, I heard the unmistakeable sound of a dead battery.
I called emergency service, and the guy started it right away;he tested the battery and said it was weak.
Well, I shut it off for a second, and its a good thing that I tried it right away before the guy left, because it wouldn't start again.
Well, to make a long story short, he got it started and I immediately drove it to the Honda dealer to get a new battery.
However,I couldn't wait because my new baby had a doctor's appointment;thus I had to wait for the courtesy driver to come to bring me to my house;thankfully he came in time, and my wife and baby rushed to the office in my other car to make the appointment.
I must say it is a pretty weird coincidence for such an occurrence to happen for the first time after 6 years and 2 months and especially on one of the few non-gambling day.
Other than that, the day was not really that different or difficult especially considering that there was a lot to read, watch and listen to regarding the upcoming election.
Actually the day was not that much different from yesterday, as there was only one boring football game on which I placed a small wager.
Obviously with a new baby to help care for, my priorities are changing rightfully in any case, and perhaps today is just a little reminder to me that life is possible without gambling.
Anyways, that is my little story for today.
