You could hate the Yankees all you want, but, what it comes down to is one owner wants to win so badly, he'll do whatever it takes.

And please don't tell me the Red Sox didn't spend any money this year either

The Yankees spent about 80 million more than Boston which in itself is a difference of 3.5 teams whole payroll so if you think it was close your wrong and Most teams simply don't have the Money to do it and it kinda takes away from the Sport when you win because you have the most money. George is also the 1 and only owner that paid the penalty for ballooning his payroll. Baseball needs a Salary cap and maybe then they could reach the NFL popularity they so desperately want but guess who is against it? The ONLY people that think the Yankees and George are good for the game are their fans and your full of shit if your not a fan of theirs and you think otherwise. Spending 181 million compared to 23 for some teams is reasonable? And unlike other League's old George is against sharing it equally. Talk about not caring about the League. UNBALANCED? YOU BET!
