They will NEVER win anything !!!!!!!!!

And its not the curse or a curse - its the pressure of 100 years of losing
I'm stunned! I agree! I believe the players and manager can't handle the pressure. They can overcome the pressure. Boston and Chisox both won the WS.

I want to see a one city world series....

      Chicago
      Sox/Cubs

      LA Angels/Dodgers

still possible.....hope it turns out that way...

Would like to see the Cubs win, and also Dodgers so Torre can send the "Finger" to Steinbrener......

At seasons start, I picked the Angels to win it all....still do...

Cubs have good loyal fans.....they need a WS victory...

        Greek,

I'm a life long Cubs fan, and I split season tickets 14 rows behind the ondeck circle. I've been saying this for a year and a half.....trade Derrick Lee while you can. Most overatted player in baseball, or one of them IMO. Never hits in the clutch.

After watching these last two games, one word desrcibes this team: DOGS!

I know this won't happen because they won 97 games this year, but this team needs an overhaul! They need some leaders! Lee, Soriano need to go! Plenty of others, but they are at the top of my list. Just like when the Bulls got rid of Collins and hired Jackson to get them over the hump, the Cubs need to get rid of some of these players, to get over the hump.

Big problem is Cubs have no Left handed hitters worth a shit. Torre wouldnt throw a lefty starter out there even if he had to. Big, tough RHP's killing Cubs lineup through 2 games. I expect Harden to throw a gem in game 3, but still might not be enough.

Now I hear Lou say that they are not in a do or die situation .... He is tired of hearing that from the media ... What fantasy world is he living in??? Great to say to your players right now ... don't worry guys ... we are not in a do or die situation ... hahahahaha

Lou treats these 5 game series like they are 7 or hell 10 game series. WIN NOW !! Then worry about the next game.

I agree about Lee and if the can get another Stud pitcher for him I would trade him and put Hoffpauir at first...which by the way - how the hell did the leave this kid off the playoff roster for Pie ???!!!

Another thing that has pissed me off. Pinella the last 2 years has said the wasnt aware of any curse - didnt believe in it - has nothing to do with todays team - etc etc. Then they bring in a priest to bless the dugout with Holy Water like you are doing some king of excorsism !!!!!!!!!!!! Nice message to send the players - Fuking idiots!!!!!!!

They Could Have Pitched Dempster In Game 2 Who May Have Been Less Nervous And Go With Z On The Road Against Kuroda Game 3

I agree somewhat GG. I think the rotation was totally wrong. I think Zam put a lot of pressure on himself to do well last night, knowing he had to do it or be down 0-2. We know how emotional he can be, and he did pitch OK. The defense let him down big time though. I didn't like the fact that Zam was just throwing fastball after fastball. I feel that Zam should have went #1, Harden #2, Dem #3. But after losing game 1 maybe they should have went with Harden last night instead of Zam.

As much credit should be given to Dodgers for winning the first two games in Chicago as blame given to the Cubs for losing.
The fact is that ever since Manny started playing for them, they have been on a roll.

CUBS HAVE BEEN THE BEST TEAM IN THE NL ALL YEAR

THEY ARE THE DEEPEST TEAM OFFENSIVELY AND HAVE THE BEST PITCHING STAFF

YOU CAN GIVE THE DODGERS CREDIT IF YOU WANT, BUT THE CUBS ARE CHOKING AND PLAYING LIKE THEY HAVE THE PRESSURE OF THE WORLD ON THEM - THEY ARE CHOKING- PERIOD

Since the Cubs have shit the bed, i would really like to see a Dodgers/Red Sox WS. I think it would get GREAT ratings and the storylines with Manny and the Red Sox are building each day. It may never happen but i've heard many on national shows say that they would love to see Manny run out to left field in Fenway, in a Dodgers uniform. It would be very interesting!

This is definately a different Dodger team in the last 2 months. The whole mindset has changed and they have been on a real roll. I thought it was the worst case scenario for the Cubs. I had a bad feeling that a hot Dodgers team with a WS Proven manager was going to knock the Cubs out early. I think the Dodgers had the momentum going in, the better manager, the best hitter and a pitching staff that could compete. So far, all seem to be working for L.A.

I said it last night. After the Cubs lost gm 1 and showed no life, i knew they were done!

I know i'n crazy but i think the Cubs have the pitching advantage in both L.A. games if Haden and Lilly start. Who knows. I think it's possible ..........
