            How about the Dodgers ?

If they get past chicago I love Dodgers chances against philadelphia

....Manny opened his postgame comments by saying, "I'd like to thank Joe for cutting my hair," ended them saying, "By the way, I'm changing my name to Dave Roberts."

.......only thing that can stop the Phillies is................ a blister on the left index finger of Cole Hamels....good luck against CC...

One would think that they would go at least 9-9 as a bare minimum.
Dumb question. As you have stated for the last month, the AL is the much superior league

Its not dumb at all my friend, and if anything it strengthens ny case.
Go look at the how some other NL teams did against AL teams this year, and you will say that most if not all of them did a lot better.
ps Although I probably won't see it this year, if I as a Sox fan were asked which team in NL playoffs would be the easiest team for the Sox to defeat in WS, it would be a no brainer-BREWERS all the way(they showed what they are made of in the three games at Fenway this year-a cat toying with a mouse).

How does it strengthen NY's case savage when neither team is in the postseason?

Lol-obviously I meant my, either than or it was a Freudian slip, meaning I am glad Yankees are not in post season.

How about that Phillies starting pitching now. Bring on the Dodgers!

I don't think any team in either league is itching to play the Dodgers right now-they are and have been on fire for a while.
This team has a lot of veteran players like Nomar and especially ones who have played on a Worls Series Winner like Manny and Lowe. they also have a GREAT anad proven maanager
I took them at 11-1 to win the WS, and feel they have an excellent chance to get to the Series.
Anything can happen, but so far one would have to agree that defeating the Cubs two consecutive games in their own ballpark means a lot more than defeating the Brewers in the Phils own ballpark. I have said right along that I don't consider the Brewers that good, and that they are in playoffs for the most part ONLY because they were able during the regular season to feed on the crappy teams.
That being said, the Phils are doing quite well, and that if they should win this series and then go on and defeat the Dodgers or Cubs, then I would conclude that they will be worthy opponents in the World Series.
                            Good luck!

the Phils havent been playing to bad either. They came into September 3 games back to the Mets. They ending up 3 games up. Since September 1st ther 19-8. Right now the pitching is picking up for the bats. It's only a matter of time before they wake up. Plus if they play the dodgers, The phils have home field.
