  • Jj Spreadwinna....i Smell A Rat

I DID ALL OF THE GAMES FOR TODAY AND THE ONLY GAME THAT FALLS INTO OUR CRITERIA IS THE REDSOX....
THE SOX ARE 1-8 VS THIS LEFT COAST MONSTA ANGELS TEAM THIS SEASON..HOWEVER, FOR WHAT IT WAS WORTH, THOSE EARLY AND MID SEASON GAMES WERE NOT VERY IMPORTANT COMPARED TO THE DIVISION AND PLAYOFF GAMES THAT LAYED AHEAD FOR EITHER TEAM.
JOHN LESTER HAD AN AMAZING SEASON, PITCHED A NO-NO AND THEN LAST WEEK, ALMOST ANOTHER....
LACKEY WAS BRILLIENT FOR THE HALO'S..BUT IT SEEMS HE DON'T BEAT EM' MUCH WITH 3 WINS AND 7 LOSSES VS THE REDSUX...HIS TEAM'S RECORD IS 3-11 WHEN HE FACES BOSTON.
I'LL TAKE THE PLAYOFF EXPERIENCE OF THE SOX AND THE ABSOLUTE DOMINATION OF JON LESTER ALONG WITH THE $$$.
    PLAY...

    THE REDSOX +120...HUGE !

As a Sox diehard since the early 50's, of course I hope you are right.
However, glaringly missing from your analysis of the game today(and it could be said for the entire series), is the fact that Lowell and Drew are questionable as well as Beckett.
In view of above, and considering the Angel's dominance over the Sox this season, it will take quite an effort from Lester and for the Sox to win this game and an even bigger one to win the series.
Also, you talk about Lackey. Do you remember /are you aware of the fact that on July 29, he came within two outs of a pitching a no hitter against the Red Sox on July 29 at FENWAY???
Sorry if I am sounding like an Angels fan, but your analysis is quite one sided and doesn't tell the whole story.

I TRUST IN THE REDSOX POST SEASON EXPERINCE..BESIDES.. LACKEY HAS BEEN AWFUL HIS IN 4 OF HIS LAST 5 GAMES ESPECIALLY GIVING UP 12 HITS AND 10 RUNS IN 2.2 INNINGS OF WORK @ HOME VS THE RANGERS...ALSO LACKEY HAS ALLOWED 4 RUNS OR MORE IN HIS LAST 5 STARTS AND I DON'T THINK THINGS GET BETTER FOR HIM TONIGHT..BESIDES THAT WIN IN BOSTON WAS VS BUCHOLTZ WHO WAS A STIFF ALL SEASON & IS NOT EVEN ON THE SAME PLANET AS JON LESTER....WE SHALL SEE.....

                Again-I hope you are right.
You are right about Bucholtz, but don't forget no matter who pitched for Sox that night, the Sox got two runs in the ninth after the no hitter was broken up, meaning that they probably would have lost anyways.
I give you a lot of credit for making a gutsy and brave call!
