Nothing big really. He was on the Deuce doing a phone interview and he said the Tigers are very excited to play this game. He said they like the fact that they are the only game on national tv today and the whole country will be watching. He said the guys are going to go out there, have some fun and try to spoil the White Sox postseason hopes. He sounded happy and ready to go. Until then, i wasn't sure of their state of mind today and i feel like now i know, and it's worth a small play.
So it would appear that after all is said and done, you are looking at the game in the way I am and are actually betting it.
My God-what a turnaround!
ps If you were a politician, I would say you did a flip-flop.lol
To play Devil's Advocate for minute(even though I think Tigers will give it their all today), what would you expect any player on the Tigers to say in an interview even if he didn't give a shit about the game?
Would you expect them to give the politically correct statement such as "we are really excited about playing the game today" OR the real one such as"we don't give a flying fu k about the game;we are totally pissed off that we have to wait around a day longer and can hardly wait for this fu king game to get over; I and the other players are going to swing at every pitch and try to make outs and/or strike out, make errors, and I know our pitchers are going to groove some balls so that game is over early.?"
It's usually pretty easy to tell by the tone in someone's voice savage whether they are just going through the motions with the interview or if they are actually excited. Geez ...

Wayne-Of course, I am being a little facetious and sarcastic, and actually I am glad that you think that what I said previously in the other thread had some merit.
In all honesty ,I am sure there are players on many teams including Detroit who couldn't care less about today's game if they were faced with similar circumstances.
I really feel though that most players are grateful to be playing a game which they love and for which they are well paid, and would love the challenge of knocking off a team whose season rides on today's game.
I saw a replay of the last out of the Mets game yesterday, and it looked like the Marlins were really happy-because 1) they won;2) because they knocked the Mets out of the playoffs and 3) because the season was over, and that they ended the season on a happy and winning note.

I stated in another thread Detriot does not like the WS .. they will be out to win ... they would love to spoil them ... game still in a rain delay ... right now I am roughly 15 miles from the park and there is absolutely no rain here

I did a sort of a little flip flop also on the total.
I did 1/2 unit wagers on Detroit and + 1 1/2 runs and a regular play on OVER 9 1/2 since it was originally 10.
Now everyone go bet Chicago and UNDER and have yourself a winning day. lol
