I lost a real tough one last night as the +195 Pirates took Milw to extra innings before losing.
2* Cubs -102
Milwaukee could have lost all three to Pittsburgh and still isn't hitting all that well (just two hits Wednesday night and only one run through nine regulation innings last night). Ryan Dempster is likely to go at least six innings/96 pitches tonight as Piniella wants to keep him on schedule for his Wednesday start. Milwaukee's Suppan has been brutally bad and the Brewers bullpen has been worked to death (eight pitchers last night). It is clear Piniella wants to keep his team playing hard to hold a competitive edge and they would have swept the Mets if the catcher hadn't missed a ninth inning tag at the plate.
1* Rays -101
Tampa needs this win badly for playoff positioning (they don't want to be a wildcard). Rays are 20-11 in Sonnanstine starts and Tigers are 12-20 in Verlander starts. Sonnanstine is in great form right now.
Opinion only:
Indians (only one Chicago team will be in post-season)
