  • If there's an NL tie

    Can't find this answer---

If Milw and the Mets tie, who hosts the playoff?

    and

what if the Brewers, Mets and Phillies all tie???

how would they decide who won the East??

Anybody with info or a link, I'd appreciate

    what a wild race!

This happened last year with the Padres and Colorado.

Division winner must settle first before wild cards.

So, if Mets and Phillies tie, then head to head record is tie breaker, if that tie, then division record.

So, if mets win out, then Phillies and Brewers will have a 1 game playoff, that would be game 163, winner get the wild card.

    Make sense?

Padres and Colorado tied for Wild card, so they had a 1 game playoff which was won by Colorado

1 game played in Philly to determine the division winner.

Loser of that game hosts Milwaukee tuesday to determine the wild card winner.

The Mets won a coin flip with the Houston Astros and would host a tiebreaker for the NL wild card next week if it's needed to decide a postseason berth.....

Under PREVIOUS coin flips, the Mets, Philadelphia, and Houston all would host Milwaukee...

This was posted in my daily paper this AM...9-26....

Hope it makes sense, that's all I know about it...

Are you guys even reading my post. They never coin flip. They will have a 1 game playoff.

I said this already. Last year the Padres and Rockies were tied and they had a 1 game playoff.

                      1) Head to Head record to determine who is the Division winner
                      2) If that is tie, then Division Record decides
                      3) The loser would be the Wild Card team.

                      and

what if the Brewers, Mets and Phillies all tie???

                      1) Once you have the Divisional winner, then the loser from above will have 1 game playoff with Brewers to decide the Wild Card team.

how would they decide who won the East??

                      1) Head to Head record (If tie)
                      2) Divisional record

I hope this make sense. Once again, happened to the Padres and Rockies last year.

Thai---the question is not whether they have a play off, but rather

WHO WILL HOST THE PLAYOFFS.....be the home team...

Oh I see, that is correct then. The coin flip to decide the hosting team.

                          Thanks Kapt!
