This gal dont tender to many looks at football even thou shes not all that bad ( about par ) but tonights action shows to many things that dont add up .

Meat & Potatos :

O.K. we got two domers here so no advantage at all . Next we salt our outlooks with Atl. being 6-17 all-time & 1-9 also on MNF couple that with the fact she has not won on the road since 1979. They also allow a 158 rushing avg. per game ( not good ) but some will counter with the fact that St. Louis gets just 85.8 .... that goes up tonight ! Now to one of my keys , Atl. has a very banged up secondary and thats not going to help them tonight , Bryan Scott as I predicted last week ( his first start ever ) had just 1 tackle at safety and its not going to get any better . When they blitz ( and they will ) it puts this poor crew one-on-one at the corners and Holt & Bruce will eat lunch.

St. Louis on the otherhand at 22-24 in MNF and 3-1 in her last 4 plays her best ball at the house and had a week to rest. I think that Atl. gets involved in another shoot-out and cant keep pace and gets hammered big. Atlanta also has went over in her last 3 & St. Louis has went over in all at the house this year so heres our outcome :

Nice Stuff as usual!! I have found one thing......although I have never documented it.......is that whenever you see a HUGE 10+ point spread in the NFL it seems that either the favorite will win by 15 to 20 points OR more........OR.......The underdog has a shot at winning the game OUTRIGHT or keeping the spread within a couple of points.......Games that come to mind are TENN yesterday favored bt 10 originally and spanked HOUSTON......Again Houuston on opening day GETTING 10+ AGAIN and BEATING MIAMI!

I also think Atlanta has a shot IF DUCKETT and the rest can run the ball consistenly AND well.......they proved at home vs Minn they can do it for a half only.....their chance at control of clock which Reeves loves to do. Martz has also changed his game plan to clock management due to injuries and missing timing on offense......hmmmmmmmmmmm.........who to take who to take.???

Mmm,

My only hold up and why I havent bet the game yet, is that the Rams seem to struggle with a big number, even if they should win by an even larger number. When they get a lead, they get sloppy and lazy.

They are 5-10 since 2001 as favs of 10 or more. I also think this years team is not the same as the team two years ago. This year and last I think they were 0-4 or somthing. In 2001-2002 they were DD favs 11 times and won 5 of those.

Tough spot here.
