you're right....I forgot about Smith and Hixon......I just like the way Plexico plays....I think he's a threat everytime he gets the ball....Just my opinion....

Smith and Hixon should fill in nicely....thanks

Plaxico Burress has filed a grievance with the NFL against the Giants for suspending him one game and docking him two weeks of pay.

T.O. II? Their hard-line stance with Burress is admirable, especially after just giving him a new contract, but the Giants may need to back down a bit. They can afford the missed game at 3-0, but will certainly need Burress to defend their title in the NFL's most difficult division. Agent Drew Rosenhaus says his client was tending to a family matter when he missed a team meeting and intends to get Burress reinstated after the Giants' bye.

My nephew called me bitching. How can the Giants suspend him? We need him! blah blah blah

Aside from the fact that no player is above his team I really believe this will be a blessing. Toomer is on the downside of his career. He's had too many dropped passes last season and this season.

Eli will be forced to throw to Smith and Hixon. Both are young. Both can be very good NFL receivers.

IMO the Giants are a better team without Plaxico. Eli relies too much on Plaxico. In the game without Burress, Eli spread the ball around more. They're offense was more diversified.

I agree with you, Frank. Eli puts up too many 'up for grab' balls relying on Plax's height. He also forces to much into Plax...gets tunnel vision with him.

Jack, was it my imagination but at times didn't Burress look uninterested in yesterday's game? I know he had that BS offensive interference call and then the unsportsman penalty. Over the last 2 games it seems he's not playing with the same enthusiasm he had prior to the suspension?

Also, WTF Burress comes back into the lineup and they return Hixon to the bench!

I wasn't at the game yesterday so I could not read Plax's body language. I don't understand Hixon not getting on the field more and I really do not understand why 2 weeks in a row Jacobs has not gotten many carries after getting off to a really good start. But 5-1 is 5-1....

And Plax did get jobbed on the interference call but he still can't get a 15 yarder.

Their O Line has to be the most underrated unit, of any part of the game (DL, LB, OL, RB)...in the NFL today.

Once again the Giants offense was better without Burress on the field. They Giants moved the ball more effectively with him on the sidelines. Eli utilizes more options.
