Took yesterday off, I woke up at 1:30 and couldnt post any of the NFL games, long long wedding on Saturday night, man I was tired, however, back today with some picks, had a mediocre Saturday, the college football teasers killed me and MLB has been nice to me. Let's keep it going tonight, gl fellas.
MLB-
Tampa Bay -140 $140.00 to win $100.00
I personally hate betting against the Orioles because when you think there going to lose, somehow Millar and company have a big game. This shouldnt happen today. First thing first, Tampa Bay is still not a given 1st place winner in the East. They need to keep winning, thats the bottom line. Any games they lose is no good, because the Red Sox win they gain a game. The Rays cannot afford to lose games. The Rays are almost guaranteed a playoff spot this year but they want to win the East. How many times with the Rays have a shot at the East again in our lifetimes? The Yanks and Red Sox have dominated for years the top two spots. David Price has been filthy against lefties and Orioles have a decent amount of lefties in their lineup... 4 to be exact tonight and the ones that arent lefties are nobodies... Montanez, Castro, Salazar, come on. Price was a first round guy with a lot of potential and many think a big part of the future of the Rays. He pitches in a big game tonight and IMO gets it done.
Texas -140 $140.00 to win $100.00
You might ask a.) why the hell im betting a game that means nothing... and b.) why the hell put money on Kevin Millwood well... I just simply cannot stand to bet against Texas anymore. They have simply amazing hitters that easily can knock in 8-10 runs a game. The worriness for me for Texas is their bullpen, which is HORRIBLE. I say Millwood gets at least 6 innings in against a team hes done fairly well against in the past (4-3, 4.02 ERA,) and the bullpen holds it close and Texas with their bats edges out a win tonight. Greg Smith starts for Oakland who happens to be 0-2 with a 7.15 ERA against Texas. Texas at home, let's roll with Texas.
Arizona -130 $260.00 to win $200.00
This is for sure my pick of the night and at a price that I love! -130 for Webbie? Come on guys, lets look at the facts. Down the stretch Arizona hasnt been the best team and theyve blown some games and havent had the best hitting but face the facts, Arizona cannot afford to lose and who better to have on the mound than Brandon Webb. Arizona knows every game results in the Dbacks living or dying. Only 2.5 games back from the Dodgers, if they win tonight they can even it to 2 and as you know, 2 is resonable with still 6 or 7 games to go. They know there not done. The bats come alive again and Webb pitches a gem. Wellemeyer opposes him and I think hes a great pitcher who has made HUGE strides this year but against Arizona he hasnt been at his best.. 0-2 with a 8.22 ERA. A hungry Arizona team, against a vulnerable pitcher and team, Arizona wins on the road tonight.
