  • Eliminator Pool: Buffalo or San Diego?

Already picked Pats and G-Men. The 3 biggest spreads today are Buff, SD, and Seattle. I don't like Seattle, and am left with Bills at home versus Raiders or SD at home on MNF against Favre and Jets. Leaning with SD, but a little voice in my head says Favre might have one more in him.

    Who you like?

I went with New England because I had a bad feeling about San Diego. I like Buffalo thanks to a tough D, but would be much more condifdent in them in a survivor pool if it was november and Jamarcus Russell was in the bad winter weather.

I took the Falcons...my strategy in these suicide pools is to get the shitty teams that are heavily favored out of te way early so that you have the power houses to use in your back pocket later in the season. With shitty teams like the Falcons today you never know when you will have a better spot to use them so I try and get them out of the way before its too late...GL which ever you choose!!!

Yeah, two schools of thought on these. I've played in a few, and this time I'm taking the best team approach, and will wig it later. In year's past I've tried to save the better teams, but it has resulted in some early losses. Plus, sometimes you save a team like the Patriots and they lose a Brady, making them no longer that great team.

This pool started with 55 people and we are already down to 19 in just two weeks.

Back to the question, if you had to pick Bills or Chargers, who you like?

Switched to Buffalo, WOW. That was like stealing there. Down 9 with 4:30 to go and the shit ass Raiders come through for me and allow Buff to come back. Nice!

Tell you what, my Falcons are heading in the right direction. Matt Ryan is the real deal at QB. They finally appear to have a real coach and a real front office, and I think they are going to be a formidable squad in another year or so. Yes, I realize they have beat some junk ass teams, but considering many picked them to be the worst team in football, and only winning 3-4 games, I quite pleased.

Glad the Birds made it through for you.

I'd also say that those people that held out for New England aren't too happy right now. G-Men almost took the plunge today as well.
