I've played in many different league's run by others and none have ever given points for a reception. It may be common but it isn't standard in most league's. Just like you have never seen return yardage, i have never seen ppr used either. What if you catch a 5 yard pass and you run around, head backwards and get tackled back at the line of scrimmage? You get 1 point for blowing a 5 yard reception and getting zero yards? That scoring is very flawed and in this day and age of big scoring receivers out there, i don't think most league's use that.

I have seen leagues with return yardage and I do like it but I personally can't stand league with no reception points. It is just my opinion but I think ppr is appropriate these days.

One league im in they give ppr to TE's only since TE's normally dont score as much as WR's.

But do you understand my point? 1 point in a league can be the difference between a win and a loss. If you have 1 reception for -2 yards, you get rewarded with a positive number for that? That is just wrong (IMO) and i think it is a flaw in the scoring really. I run 3 league's here and i've been doing them for years. The 1 thing i will never use are the cheap points like receptions, carries or completions. It should be about yardage, touchdowns and turnovers. Those are what counts, again, IMO!

Now that idea i like. TE's are few and far between points wise and that would be a great addition. Wide Receivers, no. lol

Too many WR's are kicking ass these days to give them free points!

I give up, but I just prefer reception leagues. And I also won't play in anything more than a 10 team league so I'm a scoring fan.
