FIX I knew when you started this thread earlier tonight that you were just asking if we should take the Yanks at home for their last game and Yankee stadium. Then everyone thought you meant it was your GOY..funny stuff...

I'm going the other direction,Baltimore wants to be remembered as the last team to win at Yankee Stadium

I know this may not be the popular opinion, but I think too much is being made out of this game,
The players on the Yankees weren't around for most of the years in the long existence of Yankee Stadium, and I think they have a lot of other things on their mind besides this(not making the playoffs, their plans for the offseason, which will start in a week, etc., although most of them will say the politically correct thing about this game and its significance)
Sure the Yankees want to win, but it isn't like trying to win the seventh game of the World Series.
If Yankees were moving out of New York rather than across the street, then I think the game would have more meaning.
ps That being said, if I were to bet the game, I would bet the Yankees because Baltimore is 4-19 on Sunday this year.

I have to admit I was dead about the emotion involved in this game.
You could see it in the faces of the fans and the players, especially those who have been around a while.
As much as I am a Sox diehard and have despised the Yankees ever since I was a small boy (when they were so good and the Sox so bad), it would have been sad and unjust if the Yankees lost their last game ever in their ballpark(as long as they weren't playing the Sox lol).
The ceremonies both before and after the game were handled to perfection, and I found them very touching;they brought back many memories!
