  • Fourth Special Situation Play -- others are 3-0.

Only had to wait 6 days for my next special situation play. Last play was last Sunday, a second half play on the 49ers, my third winner. I found a play for tonight that, based just on stats, looks like a terrible play. But look at the situations surrounding this play and it should be another winner.

This is the second trip across country for Fresno State in less than a month and a huge sandwich for them. It's going to take sometime for Fresno to stop thinking of last weeks loss to Wisky and I can't see any way they can get up for Toledo tonight, a game that has no real meaning. The other half of the sandwich for Fresno is UCLA next week. As bad as UCLA has looked and they look that way again today, it's still the Pac 10 where a win for the WAC means a lot.

The stats say Fresno wins, the current situation says Fresno comes out flat tonight. The play is Toledo as a home dog plus 7.

My Special Plays Are Now 4-0

These special situation plays are few and far between but when I find one, it's been money. I see at least a couple of you jumped on and won with me. I feel bad for Toledo but was happy to see them go for two. I don't know if the rest of you were getting 6.5 or 7 points. Getting seven meant a push in OT at the worst and made OT easier to watch.

I posted this in CHUNGS thread.
I also had Toledo in a three team parley with Georgia and Jose State which would have won and paid $1700 plus my $350 bet if Stanford showed a little class.

Thanks Dave. Glad you won some money to put in your new teeth fund.

What Stanford did was even worse for me than what I already posted. Look at this. Auburn, at 40-1, already cost me the ten thousand but 6 right out of 7 would have paid 9-2 (1125 plus 250 bet) if Jose would have covered. 5 out of 7 paid a big 1-2, meaning I won $125 plus my 250 back.

GREAT CALL SANDMAN!!! I was on toledo as well, however, not to sound like a prick but even getting 7 in OT doesnt guarantee a push..It almost does but not quite - if it goes to a 3rd OT teams are forced to go for 2, thus a team can go up by 8 and therefore win by 8...I had toledo +6.5 so i was nervous to say the least.

                        Losing By 8 In OT

I just saw what you said NoCash and you are right, it just never crossed my mind. The only way that can happen is when, after three OT's, the other team goes first and scores a TD +2 and our team dosen't score. At least the other half of the time, when our team goes first, the most we can lose by is six.

I just saw the end of the Stanford game on the TV highlights and now I feel worse. It never should have happened.
