I'm not speaking as a gambler but has a coach. Wayne is right. You are on the road - you take a shot at the end zone and if you don't score, you kick a field goal. This is college football, not the NFL. NO field goal is a chip shot for these guys. If you make the TD, then it takes a TD to beat you.
It was the right call on the road with just under 2 minutes left and Auburn still had ALL 3 time outs left.

IMO, either call is the right call...there is no 100% solution in that situation...I will say though that in 90% of those cases, most coaches not named Miles line up to kick the FG there.

Yea because kickers are head cases and shrivel up sometimes, but you can't really fault either way of thinking.
