  • Wednesday: Inside The Lines

    Wednesday September 17th:

    Games of notice:

    971 MINNESOTA @ 972 CLEVELAND
    Vegas Open: 7
    My Open: 7.5
    Current: 8

Vegas brings this game out at 7 around 2:30pm est time yesertday. Public hammered the over the remainder of the day driving the line to 7.5 by the time each game for Tuesday was completed in the majors. I sent out 7.5 around 8pm est time and over night in America the money came in quite balanced allowing me to keep the line at 7.5. Cliff Lee and his 22-2 record and sparkling 2.36 ERA is the only thing keeping this one below 9. We have to account for the fact that he is the front runner for the Cy Young Award. Alot of head to head trends are leading the bettors towards the under but what they don't remember is these two teams met last at the very beginning of August when all the players were still shooting for the playoffs, now Minnesota is battling for every win and Cleveland on the brink of elimination has realized there only playoff hopes are in 2009. I would reccomend taking the over.

Vegas Public on the OVER (8): 54%,
My Public on the OVER (7.5): 51%
What are the odds of getting even?

      979 LOS ANGELES @ 980 OAKLAND (AL)
      Vegas Open: 8.5
      My Open: 7.5
      Current: 7.5

This game opened as 8.5 yesterday afternoon in Vegas casinos. By the last pitch between these two teams last night around midnight est, bettors could not even get their under bets on 8 let alone 8.5. I came out with 7.5 knowing what this game had in store and again tonight I am stressing betting over these low AL totals. Los Angeles has clinched the division and are simply waiting for October to arrive, this shows in their play recently. Dropping 10 of 15 seems expected knowing they have nothing to play for. They have played a massive string of UNDERS in the past 3 weeks which has got the public turning on the fact they are a choppy baseball team and even more so at this time of season when starting pitchers are starting to rest up for post season and are not coming to the mound with their 100% stuff. By no means are they trying at 75-80% effort but Weaver pitching 90% to the Athletics knowing he wont stay longer then 6 innings anyway is very hittable. Oakland has been hot the past 10 games winning 7 of them and consistently going over these low totals. Once again here I would reccomend playing the over as both these pitchers combined have a season ERA over 8.60.

Vegas Public on the OVER (7.5): 41%,
My Public on the OVER (7.5): 40%

I do all sports. I work for a new book that opened in Cyprus, we are going online in a couple months, im not going to say a name or nothing, I don't want to get banned. I set all the lines and they are usually different from Vegas as my goal is to trap the public not just split the difference, its usually why my lines are half a run off or a couple points in football. Nothing like -3 to -10 but like -3 to -4, enough to get 5% more of the public over. Im a long time handicapper too so I always have to have action of my own and being this is all I do I usually have a pretty good idea of whats going on around all the sports, enough to make a buck or two haha.
