BOL with my Jays tonight big guy!!!

PS - Only thing that worries me is that they threw their post season chances down the drain at Fenway this past weekend. They may not give a shit now...

I thought about that, but they're still playing well and I expect it to continue.

With the Jays all but mathematically eliminated from post-season play, Roy Halladay doesn’t want his team to start backsliding in their remaining 12 games of the regular season.

“It’s tough,” said Halladay, after Sunday’s 4-3 defeat at the hands of the Red Sox pushed the Jays 8-1/2 games back in the wild-card race. “But there’s always something to play for. It’s important for us to finish strong. It’s important for us to continue to play. This can’t be the end-all, be-all series. I don’t think there’s anybody in here who’s going to quit, but there’s no room for that. Everybody prides themselves on finishing strong.”

The problem the Jays had this season is that they waited so long before playing the way everyone thought they would the entire season.

“We’re starting to hit some balls in the seats, the lineup is more consistent,” general manager J.P. Ricciardi said. “We’re getting 10-12-14 hits a game, we’re averaging five or six runs a game. I thought that’s the kind of team we would be. I wish it had happened a little earlier. It kind of restores your faith in what you thought about these guys as offensive players.”

I want to join you but I'm struggling to ignore that Marcum got shelled the last time he faced Baltimore...he has been great recently though.

Yea, that was in Baltimore though and Waters has been getting shelled all season, including the minors. He threw a 1 hitter his first game in the pros, but since then back to reality. I like Marcum, but shit, it's a meaningless baseball game, anything can happen. Hopefully all those right-handed bats that Toronto has (Wells, Rios, Mench, Rolen etc) will get to Waters early.

Good Luck with Toronto tonight.... Waters has a history of bearly makin it 5 innings.... my line was too high to play or I would have also played the both side and total.

                            Rock
