Coach Mike Holmgren revealed Monday that Nate Burleson tore a ligament in his knee during the Seahawks' Week 1 game. Burleson will be placed on injured reserve, ending his season.
Seattle's passing game couldn't be in worse shape. Courtney Taylor was awful in the opener, but is now thrust into the "No. 1 receiver" role. Logan Payne and Jordan Kent, the team's only other healthy receivers, are candidates to start in Burleson's split end spot. Holmgren doesn't expect Deion Branch or Bobby Engram back this week. Matt Hasselbeck's fantasy outlook is declining rapidly, and Holmgren may have to lean on the run more going forward.
