  • Sat Cfb Plays==>

    I'm still getting over the Gophs game but time to move on:

    I have several solid picks for tomorrow but will wait until before game time for posting......man this dental works kicks ones ass...just not feeling that well ...maybe that made the Minn loss even harder to take....anyway....couple early posts if anyone would like to use them....but have SEVERAL SOLID picks for later tomorrow!!

    2*==>NW/IU (O) 52

    Two incredibly inept teams in the Big Ten but both can score on these awful defenses.....good weather should allow a scorefest with no one caring who wins it

    3*==>MICH ST-3

    Even though Illinois was the #1 passing team in the Big Ten up till last week their defense should have fits curtailing the Spartan Offense......MSU by 6 or more

    4*==>AUBURN +7

    Hard to believe the preseason #1 ranked team in the nation (Yep...that would be Auburn) will drop yet another one....they will face a very tough and talented team but in a low scoring game (take the under for 1 star) Tigers should cover a TD.

    BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE!! Goldv

          Wish I would have had the rest of your card earlier. The Syracuse play I listed would've been a 1 unit vs. 5. You picks would've canceled out a couple. oh well.

            sorry it was a little late

            Didn't get it all up until late morning.....Put out what I thought were 3 winners for the board last night with the IU/NW Over....Auburn....and Mich St......

            Caught a lot of local crap about the Gophs pick flaming out on a 4.5 star pick and you know the routine......Mich is great....Minn overrated....you blew it......blah blah....PLUS I have been under the weather so almost did not post at all except for some PM's that wanted them......again....sorry it was late but also I do wait till game time for some of them.....weather would have been a factor for me in the Vtech game but looked good so pulled the trigger on the high point spread favorite.....

            BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!! You have a good card going! Keep up the great work!!

              Well it's good because of all you guys. And no need to appologize. I just value your picks and like to include them on my spreadsheet. If I'm waffling on a pick, the board members usually sway me to go thier way.

                    I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT ME BETTING AGAINST OHIO STATE ALWAYS COSTS ME.....The locgical and Public bet should be with the yuckeyes -2.5 BUT I will dabble against them again and go with:

                    2*==>WISC +3 (B1/2)

                            Adding last plays of the night!

                            I HATE THESE AS EVERYONE that has been on the board for a while may know BUT I AM PLAYING THE:

                            3*==>HAWAII/FRESNO (U)56

                            Hawaii can not run the ball and Fresno can't defend it. Chang may play but has a head injury from last week. Fresno got Pinegar back at QB but can't score anyway from either air or ground. Really weird to see a TOTAL AT HAWAII UNDER 60 in this conference.....what gives......these are always HUGE over games!
                            CHECK THIS OUT:

                            The Bulldogs got Paul Pinegar back under center on Saturday afternoon, but even he was not enough to get the team past a 24-point defeat at the hands of Colorado State in Fort Collins. Pinegar, who is probable this week with his chest injury, finished the day 11-of-19 for 111 yards and a pair of interceptions. The only touchdown for the team came on a 51-yard run by Bernard Berrian, who also tallied four catches for 28 yards in the losing effort. Once the main focus of the running game for the Bulldogs, Rodney Davis finished with a mere eight yards on four attempts, while Dwayne Wright posted a team-best 79 yards on 19 carries. Regardless of who has been under center for the Bulldogs this season, the team is averaging only 19.7 ppg and is gaining an average of just over 314 yards in total offense as well. The unit has converted a mere 30 percent on third down, which is one of the reasons why FSU has combined to score just 27 points in the first half through six games.

                            Berrian, who missed nearly all of last year with an injury, is probably not getting the ball as much as he would like, but he still leads the group with 24 catches for 247 yards and a pair of scores.

                            The Bulldogs held Colorado State off the scoreboard in the first quarter last weekend, but that was the extent of their positive play for the most part. The defense gave up 467 yards to the Rams, who scored on all five of their red zone chances. The bulk of those yards (270) came on the ground on 41 attempts.

                            Bryce McGill led the group with nine total tackles, while James Sanders tallied eight stops and registered one of the unit's two interceptions as well. Louis Leonard, who finished with just one stop on the day, was credited with the team's only sack. A couple of years back head coach Pat Hill installed the theme of "Shut Up and Hit Somebody," and that carried previous teams onto good things, but not this year. Opponents are generating 24.3 ppg and a healthy 434 ypg in total offense. The run defense has been especially porous, giving up more than 204 ypg, leading to eight scores. McGill's 39 tackles lead the team while Sanders, who has one of their five blocked kicks thus far, is second with 31 stops. Manuel Sanchez has 18 tackles in five games and leads the group with three interceptions.

                            The Warriors found themselves on the losing end of an 11-point decision against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane on Saturday night, the team's third straight setback on the road. Timmy Chang finished the contest 21-of-35 for 240 yards, but failed to throw a touchdown pass for the first time in 14 games. Overall the Warriors registered a season-low 371 yards of total offense in the WAC defeat. Considering the only wins for the Hurricane this season were against Division I-AA schools, this was quite a shock for the Warriors, even though they were without the services of three of their top receivers.

                            Failing to help out the offense on a night when they absolutely needed it, receivers Chad Owens (suspension), Nate Ilaoa (knee) and Jeremiah Cockheran (ankle) had to watch as the unit struggled. Owens should be back in the starting lineup after serving the second of his two-game suspension, but that's still no guarantee that Chang and Co. will be back to normal. The Warriors still have one of the softest running games in the entire nation, gaining just under 90 ypg, and that's why Chang, who is listed as probable this week with a head injury, is such a crucial part of the offense. He's currently completing an even 60 percent of his attempts for 326.5 ypg, but has just six touchdowns against six interceptions.

                            Hawaii was able to exploit the Golden Hurricane much like every other team in recent years, gaining a 16-3 lead in the second quarter, but from then on out the Warrior defense folded and allowed Tulsa to post 24 unanswered points to take the win on the mainland. Hawaii's run defense was especially exposed, surrendering 285 yards on 49 attempts. Tulsa converted all three of their red zone opportunities and managed to go 9-of-16 on third down. Ikaika Curnan did his best to stop the bleeding, posting a team-best 14 tackles, while Chad Kalilimoku tallied 12 stops. Heavy-hitter Travis LaBoy came away with nine tackles, two of which were behind the line of scrimmage, including a sack as well. While the Warriors are posting a more than respectable 30.2 ppg, opponents have managed to generate 31.8 ppg. Teams are rushing for close to 175 ypg, but are gaining only 177 ypg through the air and have registered just five passing scores combined. Kalilimoku is at the top of the tackles list with 40, while LaBoy checks in with 31, of which seven are TFLs and four are sacks to lead the group.

                            These are two of the more reputable teams in the WAC that seemed to have been reduced to second fiddles this year, and that's exactly why this game is so crucial to both. The one that gets the win will probably propel itself to bigger and better things from here on out. Give the edge to Hawaii and Timmy Chang and home, especially if he has all of his weapons ready to deploy.
