BMW Championship

The BMW championship takes place in St. Louis at Bellerive CC. Looking at the weather the tournament will probably be postponed til Friday as they will be hammered by rain tomorrow from the Hurricane Gustav storm system. 3 to 5 inches of rain is expected which should drench the course into a soggy mess which will be ripe for pickins for a player like Sergio Garcia. Sergio generates a lot of power with his irons and has great control which makes him an automatic contender to win. His putter, usually his weakest part of his game has been hot of late. I couldn't find any great matchups from my shop as he faced against Vijay and Phil who both match up well with this course. There is one proposition I do like and that is who will be the top European player. The other Euro's are Harrington, Petterson, Jacobsen, Laird, and Davis. You can pretty much eliminate the last 3 as they hardly contend. Harrington has been inconsistent since his PGA championship win and seems unfocused. I like this play. Played at the greek.

And I almost pulled the trigger on Sergio over Vijay for the tourney. I did play that for the 3rd round but didn't post. Oh well. I never had done a bet where I'm betting against 5 other golfers and it was a mistake.
