I still think collective the Phils starters are average at best but their bullpen is excellent.

Blanton - average

This loss hurts, but looking at a 7-2 homestand and getting upset about it doesn't make sense.

In a different situation, Seanez would never pitch to Delgado there so who knows...regardless, this team is showing signs of hitting so I'm pleased.

Agree on Hamels & Moyer. Myers is average or incomplete...I am not going to call him really good off of a handful of starts. What has Blanton done to be Average? 2-2 last 10 starts with an ERA over 5, season stats are just as bad. I would agree with KK.

Ok, 'average' as a whole may have been hard...slightly better than average....

Because baseball managers go by the 'book' and don't deviate from it. Most managers manage scared. They're so afraid of being second guessed and criticized they stick to the book because it's safe.

They don't like to bring in they're closer in the 8th inning regardless of the situation. Last night was his 2nd appearance in the 8th inning.
