  • Osi Umenyiora out for season-

Looks like he's out for the season. Really sucks for the Giants, especially getting hurt in a meaningless game.

Anyone think Strahan comes out of retirement?

Wow - I'm no Giants fan, but I hate seeing this. All preseason is for me is an agonzing month where I hope none of my teams or my fantasy players get hurt.

A huge, huge, loss for the Giants. It comes after Strahan retires and missing both, is a huge loss (IMO). I love Tuck but you know he is going to get doubled on every down now. Big injury for the Giants.

We need a Shawne Merriman thread next. He said it could be a career ending knee injury. I'm thinking he is most likely out for the year at least. That would be a HUGE loss to the Chargers Defense too (IMO). How could it not be!

Just let their new linebacker get jacked up on steroids and they fix the problem!

Didn't LB Cooper miss some time last year with a gunshot wound too? Bad luck with SD LB's!

Giants will move Kiwanuka to DE and fill in at LB. Its a crippling loss but that means someone else has to step it up. Don't count out Strahan coming back. For the right amount and pass rushing on strictly passing downs and I think he would come back.

It wouldn't surprise me if Strahan returns. It's a perfect situation for him. He hates training camp. He'll have a few weeks of training camp to get into shape. They're bye is week 4. Entering their 4th game he should be in shape.

According to Marcelius Wiley 5 minutes ago on FSN Radio, there is virtually no chance of Strahan returning. He has talked to him and Strahan is off in Greece on Vacation. I guess he doesn't need the money and he has lost alot of his muscle by not working out like he did. He also has a lucrative new job with Fox Sports that he is really excited about. I guess i would be surprised if he came back after listening to Wiley!
