I'm in a real tailspin and went 0-2 Saturday, somehow managing to play the Cubs the only game they've lost in ages and the Orioles in the only game in which they DIDN't score a ton. Two plays tonight, including a very strong one.
2* Orioles +110
This is only my second top play of the season. Jeremy Guthrie is on fire right now, giving up only one run in each of his last three starts. In the meantime, the Orioles bats are in an incredible zone. Baltimore has scored 85 runs in its last 10 games! The Red Sox are only 28-35 on the road while Baltimore is 31-24 at Camden. Admittedly, Jon Lester has had a strong year and that's the reason the Red Sox are favored. Still, there's great value here on a dog I expect to win.
1* Twins -139
-140 is as high as I ever go so you can see how much I like Minny here. While Duscherrer has had a very good year, he's cooled off in his last two starts. More importantly, the A's have lost 12 of their last 15 and are an ugly 22-35 on the road. Minnesota has won four in a row and eight of ten. The Twins are a spectacular 44-22 at home.
Opinion only:
Astros (-300 for the Brewers?; come on)
