        Sunday, August 17

I'm not a big fan of investing in summer games, especially early in preseason. But people have asked for some insight so here goes, as little as it is............

-- Bengals won 20-17 at Green Bay on national TV Monday; now have home opener vs Lion squad that beat Giants 13-10 at home, in lackluster game last week. Bengals lost 27-26 at Ford Field last summer- they've won four of last five summer home games.

-- Patriots lost 13-10 at Tampa last year; Patriots got beat 16-15 in their opener vs Baltimore- they lost three of last four road games in summer. Bucs won their opener 17-6 vs Miami, their fourth win in last five summer games. Tampa has better QB depth.
