Uhhhh.....would that be the MICHIGAN WOLVERINES????
I mean, surely they remember last season's embarassing opener vs App. St right???
Don't want THAT to happen right off the bat. After an 0-2 start, they finished up the season a respectable 9-4 while ending on a high note defeating Florida in a bowl game as doulbe digits dogs.
Then I started getting scared about betting 20 K on it - would nearly wipe out my savings from numerous liquor store robberies.
That's when I starting thinking of a moneyline bet on Missouri. I would maybe lay 220 to win 100 - depending on the line when it comes out. I think that is a 75 percent bet - that Missouri would win 75 percent of the time in this situation against Illinois.
Then there is the problem of whether Vegas will offer a moneyline on this game. What if I flew to Vegas and no moneyline was available anywhere on this game ? Where does my 20 K go if my bet is unavailable? I would be compelled to bet it Missouri -8.5 (if it still was that low). That is now scary, like I said before, though It looked good at first.
So, I am set up online with much less than 20K to lose.
And, Dave T, I am interested in Michigan -3. Just worried about their adjustment to a new coach and new offense.

Of course they would offer a moneyline its Vegas and also a 8.5 point favorite would not have such a low price of only -220 on a moneyline. More like -350....
Can anyone give more info into the whole tax thing at the sportsbooks. What is the max I can bet? I already booked my trip to vegas for week 4 NFL. I bringing over $20k to gamble with. If I get up big I might do something stupid and unload.
Back in January I was at the Wynn at the roulette table. I bought in for $2k and the pit boss told me that I could not buy anymore chips until the next day unless I gave my social security number??? WTF is that? She said it was a new law.
I may chicken out - will decide soon in order to get favorable air travel arranged.
I will later release my pick on this forum before the game.
If I reveal that I went to Vegas and placed the bet, then bet against my pick because I will lose. If I reveal that I chickened out and didn't go to Vegas then bet my bet as it will win.
You guessed it!
On 8/18 I posted that I was not going to Vegas to bet 20K on one game (multiple books), which was Missouri.
Just think, you would have won 20k!! Damn, next time you come across a game that you love weeks in advance, you should hop the next flight and play it.

But then I would lose.
My power to lose on heavy bets is enormous - I somehow can affect the outcome of the game by betting 20K on it so that my bet loses.
BTW, my fly to Vegas pick this week is # 332 Wisconsin and give up the 20 1/2 points against visiting Marshall. If this loses then you will know I hopped a plane to Vegas and put 20K on it.

Yea keep doing that and see how long it takes for you to eventually lose one and go broke..

Look, he had the game scoped out for weeks in advance, he figured for Missouri to not cover, they would have to play an absolute shitty rounded game in all 3 phases and Illinois would have to play great. Bottom line is he would have won so why don't you go back to rooting for the Montreal Canadians who won the Stanley Cup.... oh wait they choked
